how do i get to gnoll stronghold

I hit chapter four, I have gnoll stronghold on my map, but I cant seem to get to it. I need to grab boots for a dude that keeps ripping me off.

2. Explore the areas on the way to the Gnoll Stronghold and you'll find the path into it.

Well, he only stole once from me, I later just "forgot" to return his boots to him, although Imoen was happy to have them. ;)

They are pretty sweet boots. They drop in two places too, so you can return a pair to him and still have a second pair for yourself.

I dont keep talking to him i did click on him a few times a start thought it was funny, but it also said if I get his boots back I will get my money back. I have explored what I thought was everything on my way so far. I dont have a screen shot of my map as I have the beamdog version. But I keep getting blocked by cliffs. And when I get to move on the map it never lets me go there, but I can see it on my map.

You can also return the boots, get your money back and then some plus the quest reward in XP, then waste him for being a little thief! No one'll complain, you get the boots again and you don't get a reputation hit for killing him.
