How to add portrait mod?
This is truly the only mod I want for the game, just wondering how do I add this big pack of portraits? I downloaded the unzipped folder and dropped the portrait pack into the '' Portraits " folder, but when I go to custom there's nothing in there.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or a way around this? Any help would be great.

Make sure that the files you're dropping into Portraits are just the bmp files and not bmp files hidden inside a folder.

Also, if you're using a portrait pack, make sure that there isn't a hidden bgee.sql file lurking in there. Some of the older portrait packs included that as a hack to get the portraits to appear in the standard marquis, and the result was more often than not a crashing game.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I added this one portrait I liked manually. Just went to ' Tinypic ' and adjusted it's size and this portrait keeps showing up in the '' Custom " portrait selction in game, even though I deleted it.

The mod I'm trying to get is the " Baldur's Gate Ultimate Portrait Pack "

I believe these are the right file types to add them, because there's 3 different sizes of each portrait to correctly fit the frames in the game.

Who knows, maybe I'm just going to full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I'm making this harder than it has to be.

So looking at the zip file (not the link you posted, but the zip version linked in the comments), it's a folder called "portraits" with the bmp files inside of it.

That being the case, you should be able to just move that folder into Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition/ and it should work. Alternatively, open the portraits folder in the zip file, select all the files inside it that you wish to use, and copy those into Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition/portraits.

As to the portrait that you can't seem to get rid of, there are two locations that custom portraits could be hiding. One is in the Documents directory mentioned above; the other is your override folder, either in Documents or in the game's main installation directory. Make sure you check both places if your custom portrait is still there.

Also remember that changes to your game's data like this won't take effect until the next time you launch the game; they won't suddenly appear while you're in character creation.

Ahh i figured it out. I've been going into the Steam Apps, Baldur's Gate. Instead of going into '' Documents " Baldur's Gate. Got it figured out now, thanks for the help, much appreciated!
