Running into an unexpected encounter here. The Necromancer Kryll is one of the group we are hunting down with Dorn. So there are Skeletons, Gibberlings, misguided love and the deserter Samuel in this epsiode. Enough action for one day even on the Sword Coast....

The townsfolk of Beregost talk of a "monster" named Bassilus who has murdered many innocent folk. Kelddath Ormlyr is offering a bounty of 5,000 gold, so it is well worth our time looking for this mad priest.

One of the best games ever made! Just consider how old it is and still feels great to play.

We are facing another assassination attempt and the "amazones" Telka, Maneira, Zeela and Lamalha prove to be quite capable opponents. But there is more Hentold driven mad by a revenant and finally Narcillicus Harwilliger Neen experiementing with some Jellies. Great map! And in the end we finally get to know Neera a little better and promise to help here in understanding chaos magic.

...all for knowledge did we strive... nothing left... Hope would return with the retrieval of the simplest of tomes... beneath the rubble... on the lowest floors... return hope... history is so important... Well, of course we can help and traps, vampire wolfes and slimes cannot stop us!

So much is happening! Finally I am getting somewhere with Neera - I think she likes me :) Moreover we have heard of a lighthouse at the swordcoast - of course we have to go looking for it!
--
We got to the lighthouse and as usual Rasaad was totally exhausted. We decided to get some rest and scout the area in the morning...
--
Found hobgoblins and worgs (tons), some sirens led by SIl (not friendly), met Safana - told Neera I found her too annoying to let her join the group (I lied) well and the usual stuff: traps, treasures, some really bad ass flesh golems and an urgent rescue mission. Ha! And I almost forgot. I got my palm read! Well, that girl really freaked out. Wonder what's wrong with her....

but considering you've been stubbornly talking to yourself since june with no feedback whatsoever, you kinda deserve some encouragement.
yay go for it!
After the long travels of the last weeks I think the group needs some rest. So we decided to stay right at Beregost and help out Kelddath Ormlyr at the Song of the Morning Temple. According to him some packs of wolfes are roaming the area. That should be easy enough.
---
Vampire wolfes! The pack is lead by two vampire wolfes. Fortunately we spottet them early and could prepare for the battle. Otherwise the outcome would have been unsure.
---
Cattack the Hobgoblin and his 7 hobgoblins wanted our money or our life. Claimed to be with the Chill. What a freak!

Back at the Sword Coast and were running right into trouble again. Shoal the Nereid talks some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about being controlled by an ogre mage and instantantly kills Rasaad. To save him I had to play along and we freed her from Droth. I think she not even thanked us.
This region seems to swarm with Ogres in general. A little later we got jumped by a large group of Ogres including some berserkers. We barely managed to down them with arrows and luckily we met a strange guy calling himself the "Surgeon". He healed us back up and told a strange story about his brother Davaeorn. I feel we are going to meet him and mybe the Surgeon felt the same way. After all he gave me a magic potion to help me fight Davaeorn.

In the morning Neera aproached me again to have a chat. Talking to her was really fun and I think I like her more than I thought. We seem to have a lot in common!
Later we decided to travel to region known as the Lonely Peaks. The area is invested with bandits. We made quick work of Arghain and his band of Half-Ogres and later on got challanged by Ioin Gallchobhair, Dribben, and Billy. Got rid of this mean scum as well.
Moreover we met the darf Sarhedra and she asked our help in killing some ogres. Maybe to avenge a riend of hers? Maybe we will never find out what happend here, because after reporting back to her, she mumbled something strange and simply left. Oh, well...
It appears that xvarts have been making regular raids on the livestock around Nashkel. They must be operating from a base nearby, but where, exactly, I cannot be sure. But we managed to get hold of a group attacking Hulrik's cow Arabelle. We managed to save her. I wonder how people can manage to hold on in this region. It is pretty rough.

I have heard some rumours about a strange place called Mutamin's Garden somewhere to the east of Beregost and we are planning to go there today.
29 Kythorn 1368
In the morning we got approached by a Ghoul! "Wait, me no want fight, me Korax, me friend!", he said and I guess we will let him stay. I just too curious.
Seems the Ghoul is the only sane person around. First I got challanged by a crazy woman called Shar-Tell. She wanted a duell! She is hard hitting but could not withstand my constant attacks. Shar-Teel could hardly believe when I knocked he down and wanted to stay with the group. However I do not think we will need her.
Only a few hundred meters away we found people and animals turned to stone between some trees. That's really a creepy sight. At least one was not beyond rescue. We could save a young woman called Tamah. Now we have to find this Mutamin. He is real for sure.
Glad we brought Korax with us. He is imune to petrification and was a great help in the fight against Mutamin and his basilisks! Good thing this moron is dealt with. Speaking of morons. Got insulted by a group of adventurers again. What's wrong with them? Aren't there enough monsters around? Anyways it was a hard fight but we manged to overwhelm them. Lindin, Kirian, Baerin and Peter won't trouble anyone now...
Night is approaching. We are heading Naskhel, because Rasaad panicked and ran in that direction. Well, I hardly can blame him. A basilisk got him and we has to use "Stone to Flash" on him. Hope we will catch up with him - he really is fast on foot!

We arrived at Gullykin shortly before midnight and decided to camp at the village entrance. Luckily Immoen was on guard when a band of Kobolds jumped us a few hour later. There is something going in this supposedly peaceful are.

My suspicions where confirmed, when we talked to Gandolar Luckyfoot in the morning. He told us about frequent Kobold raids I promised to look into this matter. The Halflings are hospitable. Well, I guess except one called Jenkal. He threatened to kill us upon entering his house and we soon figured out he is the one letting the Kobolds in to the village. I doubt he is working alone, so we will have to do further exploration in the Firewine Ruins tomorrow.
Ah and almost forgot - more bounty hunters. A man named Molkar and his associates tried to kill me this day. He didn't tell me who his masters were, but he did know my name. Well, they are all dead now.

We entered the Firewine Ruins through the secret entrance we found at Jenkal's house. We immediately got attacked by an ogre mage running the covert operation. Despite his big mouth we dealt with him and his colleague Lendarn within seconds. It took us several hours to clear the ruins from kobolds though. But its done and the halflings are save once more!
https://youtu.be/FNymyXNgO4g
To complete our exploration of the Firewine region we visited the bridge today. It is invested with kobolds and undead creatures but it sure is a sight to remember. Down in the dried out river bed we met Carsa. The poor woman picked up a jar in the ruins below and apparently there was an ogre magi trapped inside. He got inside her head and forced her to release him!
We couldn't save this fellow adventurer, but at least we stopped Kahrk before he could do any more harm. It was quite a fight, but together we managed to overpower him. Protection from magic and Greywolf's sword did the trick!

Since the bandit problem is getting worse I decided to finally look into this matter. The plan is to somehow infiltrate their operation. In order to do so we are headed for an area with known bandit activity. Let's hope we find something interesting in the Larswood.
10 Flamerule 1368
We got lucky and ran into Teven and his group. He is a member of the the Black Talon and could be easily persuaded that we indeed want to join with them.
Damn it! That Teven was not as stupid as I first thought and he brought us before his leader Tazok for interrogation. That half-ogre was not very happy about strangers around the camp and tried to kill us without further ado. Well, he tried. He got some serious beating and that finally convinced him of our usefulness. We are "official" Black Talon now!
12 Flamerule 1368
We are able to move freely in the bandit camp now and made good use of it. By pressuring some guy called Knott we now know that there is a guarded prisoner in Tazok's tent. He must be important!
It even gets better! Credus thinks he can push us around and he dumped the task of guarding Tazok's Tent on us. Of course we played along and tonight we will try to sneak into the tent and surprise the guards. I am really curious who this prisoner might be!
13 Flamerule 1368
Success! We overwhelmed the guards and freed Ender Sai. He had interesting information for us. Apparently and organization called the Iron Throne is behind all this. They seem to have a secret base in the Cloakwood. We will have to search for it and maybe this will shed some light on why the Iron Throne wants my death.
https://youtu.be/n1lFejpZEyw
Storming out of Tazok's tent we quickly dispatched the rest of the Chill and Blacktalon mercenaries inkluding their leaders. We hit them by surprise so it was a quick fight and the bandit problems of the Sword Coast should be solved!

We still have some unfinished business in the northern woods. There could still be some bandits left in Larswood and Peldvale and I really want to clean the Swordcoast from this problem.
20 Flamerule 1368
Larswood is now a save place again. More so as we stumbled upon the shadow druid Osmadi, who killed the local druid. He tried to deceive us, but we managed to uncover his identity and made short work of him. I surely hope that those druids will leave Larswood alone now.
https://youtu.be/ioHCTQ6U2xk
Today we returned to Peldvale in order drive remaining rogue Blacktalon groups out of the area. However instead of bandits we were approached by the Drow Viconia. She was pursued by a member of the Flaming Fist, who accused her of murder. With him failing to produce any evidence despite wildest prejudices I decided to step in and to defend her. Don't think she fits in our group though.
Well, and the bandits did not get away either. We tracked three separate groups of Elite Blacktalon and managed to kill them with excessive use of divine and arcane magic. That should be the end of the bandit threat!

Neera has heard rumors of another wild mage, an old man named Adoy. People say he lives somewhere east of the Firewine Bridge. If he has managed to survive to a ripe old age despite the dangers of using wild magic, maybe he will have some helpful advice for Neera. Also, I think Neera wants a flute.
29 Flamerule 1368
The wild mage Adoy was captured by the very goblins he accidentally summoned while making his supper. The good news was that they worshipped him like a god. The bad news was that their god liked to eat tree bark and raw snails. The worse news is that a tough hobgoblin named Rogdok heard about the situation and decided to keep Adoy prisoner so Rogdok could make himself king of the goblins. Fortunately, I was able to free him from captivity. Unfortunately, I managed to lead the Red Wizard Ekandor straight to another wild mage to capture. In the end, with help from both Neera and Adoy, I put an end to that kidnapping Red Wizard once and for all.
