The undercellar
I ended up finding it by looking on the net, but is there any clues in game other than somewhere in the sewers ?

You can also get there from the Blushing Mermaid Inn. The Helm and Cloak of Balduran quest should also take you there for the cloak.

This is the easiest one to find. There are others in the sewers but you have hunt for them.

I actually found the Undercellar before I knew it was important for the plot. Just go into the back room of the Blushing Mermaid and pay the cover charge. There certainly are hints to its existence before you find it - you just don't learn its relevance until later.

Well i cleared all the sewer and never found it, was a bit surprise there no real hint where it is in the story quest line.

I'm finishing all the quest i can find before moving to sod. And all hints i had was that it's in sewer and a courtesan tell you to go to the blushing mermaid for main story info wich can help you a lot to find it.

There are numerous references to the Undercellar, although they are rather obscure.

In the Helm of Balduran quest, the right conversation choices with Vail will lead you to Quenash, in the Undercellar, who has Balduran's Cloak.

When defeating Cythendria in the Iron Throne you will learn about two assasins looking for you who are also there. This comes in the end-game.

Random conversations will also lead to it. But, yes, once aware, you need to find it for yourself or at least get to the Mermaid. One issue is that none of these mini-quests are vital to completing either quest. The Cloak is a bonus, as Vail will also lead you to the Helm and Cloak (for the Helm) and there are numerous sources of evidence against Sarevok without needing to confront the assassins in the Undercellar.

Yep. You have to go to the Undercellar at least once during your playthrough. But if you're like a lot of players who want to poke around and explore every nook and cranny of the game, you may have already come across it before this time.
