Dynaheir Help

So, being new to this, I met Minsc and got the quest to get Dynaheir from the Gnoll stornghold. However, unknownst to me, I decided to put it off for a bit and kept Minsc in Nashkel while I did other things. I accidentally got up to the beginning of Chapter 4 when I went back to him and proceeded to the Gnoll Stronghold.

Now I went through the whole thing, and looking in every pit, but I couldn't see her. So I looked at a video walkthrough and went down that pit. At the bottom, vaguely, I could see a dark sillouhette of a body. Is that her? Was I too late in getting to her or is this a bug?

It's the easternmost pit, and I went down the wooden stairs all the way to the bottom. I read that she can't be recruited past level 6 which is where I think I am. So she may be dead. I was only worried because I like to get as many party members as possible, but considering how many there are, and that I already killed off Edwin, I don't mind missing out on another.

She doesn't appear unless you actually climb down into the pit.

I did though, I went all the way down and all I saw was a dark corpse. I think I screwed up >.<

Personally, that was a quest I always tried to fail. I did not think she was very good and Minsc would disobey orders to try to save her if she was being hurt, ultimately leading to all our deaths.

Yeah, for some reason I had it in my head that I only had a small amount of party members to play around with, couldn't be more wrong about that. I wanted to see what she could do, but judging from all the topics I see of "Killing her off" I think I dodged a bullet. I do like Minsc though :(

I thought that Minsc will start attacking the party members if Dynaheir is not saved after sometime...that what happen to one of my game

In the old version of the game, Minsc would attack the party if they spend too long without going to rescue her. Depending on the overall alignment of the party, I believe he would still attack the party if they're too evil, or they're too good and they don't do what "good heroes do" sort of thing.

I might always be wrong, but that's what I understand. It's alright though, 'cause if you have BG2:EE you will be able to find him without Dynaheir.

Yeah I just left and he attacked my party. No big loss to be fair, I found my dream team party already, I was just curious if anyone else found this because I didn't think it was possible. I scoured google to see if anyone posted it, but no one said anything about it.
