Oh, I found something:

https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/59638/how-does-fighter-strength-work-in-advanced-dungeons-dragons-2nd-edition-and-ba

It means, Minsk has EXCEPTIONAL strenght and +2 to hit and +5 to damage.

Personal opinion: What a mess 2.0e was...

lol. Yup. 5e is much more straightforward.
Page 7 of the BGEE manual. Just download the huge PDFs that exist for this game.

I mark you as the most useful answer, you really earned it. Everything was quiet and friendly and full of info and then, boom, enter GAIUS GERMANICUS. Fan-tas-tic.
Go=get... and.... just amazing...

Yeah, the special 1 to 00 for Strength for fighter type classes carried over from Advanced D&D (aka 1st edition D&D). Second edition managed to streamline some things but it was still a far, far cry from the beauty of 5th edition.

Since the Adventurer's Guide leaves exceptional strength out of the ability table:
  • 18:01-18:50: +1 to hit, +3 to damage
  • 18:51-18:75: +2 to hit, +3 to damage
  • 18:76-18:90: +2 to hit, +4 to damage
  • 18:91-18:99: +2 to hit, +5 to damage
  • 18:00: +3 to hit, +6 to damage

IMO 3.5's the best edition for D&D. 5th is too streamlined with proficiency bonus and the power curve is too flat. Honestly I prefer 2nd Ed. to 5th, even if things like the ability bonuses are incredibly messed up.

3.5 was very nice I have to agree.
