Map + officially named areas (SPOILER WARNING reveals map of game)
Probably most people have seen this, it's the map with officially named areas. Might be interesting to new players, especially if they are stuck in a certain place and can't describe it.

Please note: it wont correlate with your EE map exactly (nearly), but all the areas are in there.

It's out-of-date. And the area names are not the current ones either. Compare with this snapshot from 2018. There may be more changes since then.

No it's the same, except that they SLIGHTLY re-profiled the west coast but just minute changes and they are all in there. I checked, re-checked and I mark each area out when I complete it (sad I know) but I'm a completionist...so.

The names are the ones giving to the map areas by the devs and are taken by internal game files. So they are official. If you want me to elaborate...when they were working on each map they had to choose a name for it. Those are the ones they chose. The numbers at the bottom are to do with programming....like indexes.

The map area pictures are all unique, so you can check on your own map which name corresponds to which picture, where the map is slightly different (south west coast area)...

Gullykin was also moved to directly south of the Beregost Temple, so Durlag's could be put into where it was supposed to be, instead of right off the road to Nashkel. It's a shame they never put Ulgoth's Breath in the correct location, but the in game map doesn't have enough space for it where it should go, and it needs to be accessible before chapter 5. It's supposed to be on the coast line west of BG.
