The best is: It deletes the xp cap, which really emphazies on making a dual-class or multiclass character.
Don't use ANY mods with SoD unless you install one version of ModMerge first. It's essential then.
I actually like the Banter pack, which makes the BG1 NPCs more like BG2, with interactions. Also Glam Pack which adds some well done NPCs. There are some nice Romance mods as well, depending on your PC and tastes.
What I now tend to avoid are the major quest mods. These are so big that they break the game (unbalance it.) I have tried the big three (Drizzt, Darkside, Northern Tales) and have decided they are just too much for this game. BG2 can digest MegaMods a lot better.
