Modmerge unpacks the DLC
This should make any mods (such as G3 tweak pack) work by unpacking the DLC and making it Weidu compatable. One of the devs of the game made it.

Because of the way Steam handles DLC for all games, this may be the best solution we get.

I'm currently replaying FFIV so I haven't tried it yet, but I thought it may help those who want to play the new content right now with thier favorite mods.

(I thought I saw on there soundset mods don't work with it just yet.)

Read about it on the BEAMDOG website:

this should be pinned, or part of a "mods on bg:ee" pinned thread

I seem to recall hearing that the g3 tweeks were mainly bug fixes for the original game, are they still usefull in ee?

Yup. There's a few cool things in it. You can remove helmet animations, have consistant stats for characters like Minsc and Jahera from game to game, avatar morphs depending on what type of armor, or if they put on a robe, less nerfed spell tables, larger stacks of items and ammunition, happy patch, and my personal favorite... Shut Up "You Must Gather Your Party ..."

Much of it is convenience, but you can also do the opposite such as delay high level abilities, or more nerfed spell tables.

I've been using it for years. I couldn't imagine going back to tiny stacks of arrows. heh.

Also, it's important to know that you should use the confusingly named "The Baldur's Gate II Tweak Pack" for BGEE as well.

Seems to work well, currently having no issues with mods that alter dialog.tlk heavily, such as bg1npc.

Probably will break horribly with the next update, but them's the breaks. With any luck stability will be reached sooner rather than later.

Good to know. The dude that made it is one of the developers for the game. I think he'll keep it up.
