What's up with Minsc's build in BG1EE?
In the original he was a straight two-handed wielder. Now he has points in two handed and two weapon style (instead of two *handed* weapon style)... so I've made him a dual-longsword wielding guy.

Did they break him?

Also, I can't get to the Lighthouse marker for some reason.

Yes, and they made females better fighters than him. So now he doesn't even have that going for him.

This is based on BG2's engine, which gives all Rangers 2 free points to two weapon style.

Yeah, those are bonus freebies for him being ranger. This time around I'm focusing him on double mace style so he can be a battle drummer.

I just got him and I'm level 5, he definitely feels a lot wimpier than I remember. And if I ditch him I lose Dynaheir :\ This game is still in desperate need of an overhaul.

to separate teams send the one you don't want in a house and remove him/her then. Then they cant reach you and complain/take the other part of the team with them.

lighthouse issue: sure u got the right area-exit point? if i remember correctly this one was a bit fiddly

dual wielding is (arguably) better than 2handed. really depends on weapons + that third point spec

This was funny: I really hate Dynaheir, but wanted to keep Minsc, and didn't want to kill her myself.

Well, Minsc just got charmed by a Sirine, and he killed Dynaheir for me. Win/win.

It's still a waste to put proficiency points in two handed sword and dual wielding.

totally agree, though minsc isnt the only one who has this problem. but then u could argue that the stats arent optimized as well. another can of worms right there. fixeable

Send him to the Basilisk's area (The area that you can get by exiting the Temple area close to Beregost by the north) and let the Basilisk enjoy a good view of the Rashemeni, et voila! Problem solved.

All the Basilisks are dead.

And on that note I just saved the tree from being cut down at the Dryad's request. Viconia got pissed about my goody-two-shoeness and ran off. She was carrying all my good ♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥.

I haven't even gotten to Nashkel yet but she was level 5, I'm pretty committed to this ♥♥♥♥♥. Typical woman to walk off with all your ♥♥♥♥ on a whim.

For some reason chopping down the tree leads to a 9 reputation loss. I got less for killing an innocent. This game really needs a patch to bring some of this ♥♥♥♥ in check.
