My missing fortune (spoilers)

Started the expansion with all my gold from BG1 and was happy for this been the case for a change, then it gets taken once in the palace, does anyone know if we get it back? Have done some parts of the quest so far, but no gold.

100,000+ gold gone :(

I wasn't expecting to have it just like we don't get it in BG2, but as we started the game with all the gold from the end of BG1 I thought they were letting us keep it this time. I play solo so usually sell everything I don't use, so not a probelm. Was just curious.

Since I had a good bit of magical armours and weapons in my bags, AND since the party I killed Sarevok with are not available to play in SoD....I ended up with a more than enough coin selling off my loot that was unusable.

At the end of SOD u get a big amount back, but there's no point on that anymore.. (spoilers)

This is one of the reasons CLUAConsole exists...to get back what the game takes from you when it screws you over.

I will always save my expensive gems in BG1...but I've started to realize that I don't really need to. There is nothing to buy in SoD. At least not right away...unless you are a monk or bard. Even later on I don't think I purchased much. I mean I bought some potions and ammo at some point, but you are drowning gold after the first map in SoD.
