Jaheira is a floating blob of meat! Anyone else?
SO, I assume that because I killed her and then booted her from my party in BGEE, so as to keep Khalid, that this has bugged out. Upon meeting her in SoD she resurrects from the floor, is bright red, and eventually just glitches out and becomes a spinning block of meat.

I like Khalid for the item choices, tanking, and longsword proficiencies.

Why in all that is Holy would you want Khalid? He's terrible. Just get past the hobgobilins north of the FA Inn and get Ajantis.

What makes him "terrible"?

As one can see, and as mentioned a few posts before, Ajantis needs the gauntlets of dexterity even more than Khalid due to low DEX. Assuming both use that item to get to DEX 18, Ajantis leads with STR 17 vs. Khalid's STR 15, which gives him a +1 THAC0 and damage bonus. But Khalid is a fighter, who can get to longsword ++++ in BGEE already, and that's a +3 THAC0 bonus and +4 damage bonus. Add to that the +2 longsword one can get rather early.

Ajantis is okay, and he starts at level 2, which can be helpful, but he is not clearly superior.
The horrific blob of spinning meat drifted closer, as if attracted by the terror of the traumatized warrior. A wet, gargly voice emanated from one of the gashes: "It's me, Protagonist! It was about time you got me out of this blasted cage! What's going on, don't you recognize me?"

But he did recognize her. She looked exactly the way the trap he had steered her into had left her - a formless, mutilated piece of meat that bore no resemblance to the half elf it had once been.

How was this possible? Did Irenicus do this to torture his mind still further? Somewhere in the back of his mind, a hysteric voice gibbered about the things that sleeping lie...

My chunk followed me around and cast spells too. I just CLUA'd her in and all was fine afterwards. And yeah, Khalid represent! On this playthrough I had Ajantis too, haha.
