Wild Surge: COW!
My party was just beginning to fight Bassilus when Neera was to cast Magic Missile, but instead had a wild surge and rained cows down on everything. It not only killed every undead and a wolf off-screen, but half my party as well. My reputation dropped by 12 points immediately. Then Neera, on her high horse, says "Really?" and looks down at me for... what I?? ...did. And then she leaves. I felt like the game just trolled me.

She is chaotic neutral, she can't take responsibility for her own actions.

That's amazing.

since when we lost reputation when we kill a member of our team? I killed many time people in a duo I dont want to keep with no lost of reputation, like killing khalid and keeping jaheira etc.

I'd guess that the rep loss was due to killing a petrified person nearby.

Agreed. There is no reputation drop when killing companions. You can even attack them outside of combat. You can even have Khalid help killing Jaheira.

I agree with others that sounds like wasn't the killing of your companions that made it drop.

I do love wild magic like that though.

Is that possible? Are they targetable? Can you stone-to-flesh them? I must admit I've never tried that with any statue in that area. Or do they take damage without being targetable?
There are/were no petrified persons in the area of Bassilus. I should have screenshot the message window for the list of rep losses, but I was laughing too hard to think straight. I actually think some of the rep loss came from the undead being killed, possibly before going aggro?

Nah it didn't mayn. There's no "neutral" NPCs in the area aside from Melicamp the chicken or the little boy who warns you about Bassilus, and you'd have to literally lead them to the Bassilus encounter to have them killed by some random Cow related explosion.

You can kill Bassilus, the skeletons or any other hostile NPC without rep penalty by targeting them before they turn hostile. The script is coded such that dispatching them will never give you rep loss - at the worst, in some special cases, they will award you less EXP but never a rep loss.

You're spinning a fanciful yarn, Shodan. I'm a Blackguard who can cast Detect Evil and I see you are trying to rain mystical stories upon the unsuspecting populace.

Listen, Nancy, I've been playing this game since 1998, so I know perfectly well what's what. This happened and you can ♥♥♥♥ right the hell off if you don't believe me.

Yeah I've been playing the saga (started with BG2) since 2000, shortly before ToB was announced. Maybe you've been playing longer, and that's rad man, glad you're on board the bang bus.

I still don't believe you. I'll exit the thread since you asked me nicely and I'm nothing if not a gentleman.

Err... to be fair, the EEs have new bugs. It's within the realm of possibility something weird happened.
