pausing
Maybe i'm just missing this, is there a way to set it up so that you pause per party round? In other words, I want to issue the next move for each party member and then hit unpause... play each party move then autopause... repeat...

Under pause feedback there is an option to pause after every combat round if that's what you're looking for. Perhaps there's something else there that you might want. But if that's not it you're out of luck as there is no such thing, unless there is a mod out there which i'm not familiar with.

hmm... the only one I see is "end of round" but that applies to every party member which means it pauses after every party member finishes a round... i was hoping for something like "end of complete round"... so 1 round for every party member + enemies

What I personaly use which works well for me at least is;

Char Injured
Char Died
Weaponn Unusable
Enemy Sighted
Spell Cast
Trap Found

...

If you don't want them autoattacking their own targets then you could also throw in "Target Dead" as well. Might not quite be what you are looking for.

It is unclear when a round starts and/or ends so each unit has their own round system and it starts when they perform an action. There is no option to pause at a complete round because as i said before a round is an individual unit thing.
Pretend there is such thing, which would mean a round is every 6 seconds. From time 0 seconds to 6 seconds is 6 ticks for round 1. Round 2 is 7 to 12, still 6 ticks and so on.
I assume you already know you can only cast 1 spell per round unless you have some kind of substitution spell like spell sequencer or alacrity, etc.
Let's say you happened to cast a spell at the 5th tick. Which means after 2 seconds you can cast another spell, which would be pretty game breaking and you would have an even nightmare of a time dealing with spellcasters in this game.
The same could be said for units with only 1 attack per round and a very slow speed factor weapon. It would seem that the unit would be attacking twice in 1 round when s/he shouldn't.

Thanks for the write up. I will spend more time with the settings to try and find my personal sweet spot. Much appreciated!
