Web + 4 bows with plain arrows
you're welcome.
DM: "Ok your ready to confront Saervok you enter and see a vast room 40% of the room is trapped but to be realistic its like 75% of the area your going to be fighting is trapped, Saervok charges you a doom knight charges, a mage with possibly every single protection spell known to man teleports in front of you casts fireball, oh and the best part a archer with magical shield spells charges and starts chain casting expoding arrows hitting all 6 ppl no one ever making saves." "Oh and hes hasted, the guy with the arrows." "Ok guys your turn now remeber 75% of the room is trapped with special freind/foe chips in them so that the enemies will not trigger anything."
Players: "We step..."
DM: "You hit a trap and have to make saves vs a web spell, all fail? ok your helpless, a cloudkill spell and a posion gas trap go of so i need more saves, all fail? oh wait i need 2 saves for cloudkill im casting 1 web spell, 1 toxic gas spell, 2 not 1 cloudkill spells. In the mean time Saervok hits you for 24 damage, lol its always 24 hahah"
Players: "Can we?"
DM: "Ok a archer comes in with a chinese repeating crossbow with exploding fireball arrowheads with an extended mag and a laser gps system that auto guides each shot so that you always fail your dex save, and it never misses. Each blast has a raduis of 60ft which hits everyone everywhere ever. Ok make saves, oh yeah all fail sorry."
Players: "Why do you hate us?"
Throw some summoned meat in front of sarevok as well and you have my "Stratagy".
Seriously? Ask that those complainers, who are not happy at all with the changes to the graphics and the new options. But fact is, the program has been touched in many places, and if you took the time to look up the monstrous patch release notes since v2.0, there have been tons of bug fixes and not only regression.
Has it been you, who had asked that before? Don't be so godawful.
Has it been the first time you've played the game since the release of the enhanced edition? What would you prefer? A cakewalk? There are other fights in the game that are a challenge or where you encounter a protected wizard. Players would not be happy, if the final fight were too easy. Btw, you can get arrows of detonation earlier and buy them and use them, too.
-I scouted the room with my rogue, which triggered the conversation with Sarevok when I got too close.
-I sent in some summoned skeles while my rogue backed off.
-Flooded the area with CC spells : grease, entagle, stinking cloud, and cloud kill.
-Flooded the area with fireballs(wand of) and skull traps. I had a ridiculous number of fireball staff charges.
- Single target with Wand of Frost/Lightning/Heavens.
First attempt I cleared it while losing onlyKhalid. Second attempt didn't lose anyone.
Weird thing : only on the first attempt did I see the doom knight appear.
I was actually a bit disappointed in the Sarevok encounter. Now a crap show of a final fight was in Dragonspear. Holy f***ing hell, Hephernaan + Belhifet + a bunch of summoned minions. Yeah, I got tired of that one and lowered the difficulty; played through on insanity for everything else.
My party for BG1, Insanity difficulty level :
1. My character a Cleric, priest of Lothander.
2. Khalid
3. Jaheira
4. Minsc
5. Dynaheir
6. Imoen in BG. Glint in Dragonspear.
Go scout on the right, trigger Semaj contingency and Sarevok, go back to the entrance.
Wand of paralysis on Sarevok, kill Semaj. Fight over, good job everybody.
2) Let Sarevok lose half of his life while killing his confused allies.
3) Kill Sarevok
I did it like that with my solo warmage.
maybe spend a minute or two planning out spells to counter the enemies, summons, web, greater mailison, hold, chant, minor globe, mean u got alot of options and thats only namig a hand full. just gotta identify what threats and there then work a few spells to counter.
Like, maybe on Hard/Insane it's more difficult, but it wasn't that hard.
