Page Turning Sound Effect

Is there a way to turn off the page turning sound effect that plays every time you select or even just hover over anything? It is extremely annoying and I don't want to hear that for 100 hours.

Under "Options" there is a button for "Sounds". When the panel opens up there will be some sliding bars on the left hand side. One of them is called "Sound Effects". Sliding it all the way to the left should eliminate that sound. BUT, it will also turn down ALL the sound effects. The page turning is but one of many sound effects and you cannot isolate it.

Thanks. I'll try turning down the volume and hope that makes it less irritating.

Another option is to just eliminate tooltips. This can be done by going to Options/Gameplay/Tooltip Delay.

Slide it all the way to the right as far as it will go. This stops tooltips. If you still want tooltips, just choose some position in between.

I just opened notepad and created an empty file called "paper.wav" and saved it in the "\override" directory in Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition. Worked great.
