Greyed out spells suggest that spell casting has been disabled but I am not sure how this is possible for sorcerers (it's more commonly seen in multiclass mages who lose their ability to cast when they equip armour)
ah crap, I chose magic missile and shocking grasp.
I haven't equipped anything other than darts and the default staff
lol maybe I completely screwed my character when I selected the skill points? because a bit after the campaign started the spells became unavailable for me until I rested in the friendly inn.
If you meant they were "greyed out" (more like transparent) in your arcane spell book that you open by clicking on the left panel, then that just means you haven't memorized them yet. To cast a spell, you first need to choose it in your spell book filling empty spaces, then rest. After a rest, you get "charges" of that spell. That's normal.
I don't know how to call this, but there is like a toolbar at the bottom of the screen when I'm playing, and there is a spells button that is greyed out or obscured and when I clicked on it nothing happened.
But after some minutes of posting this thread I went to rest in the friendly arm inn and the next day I was able to cast spells.
Thanks for that bit of info, I'll have it mind.
thx
