Wasnt there a movement speed toggle option?
Maybe I remember this wrong but wasnt there an option to toggle the movement speed of your characters?
The last time I played Baldurs Gate I swear I had a little button on my hud that I could press and my characters where suddenly running fast. That was a great quality of life thingy that im currently missing in my game. Do I remember correctly or am I missing something?

Also, wasnt there something to port your group to map markers that you explored already (in towns?). Its been years since I played this game the last time so maybe I got this wrong.

no, all I remember is getting speedups from spells or items.

I've been thinking myself insane for remembering something very similar. I could have sworn you could boost game speed when I used to play back on the original disc versions.

Maybe we're sharing a false memory...?

I don't remember there ever being a toggle, but if you set the game FPS higher (say, from the default 30 to 45 or 60) in the settings.ini, the game will speed up accordingly.

Back on the original game there was a game config app...it had sliders to set your CPU speed and FPS that could speed up the game and make them move faster. Though spells and rounds would be fast too. I don't think this exists in the EE version.

If you want to increase the movement rate now days you need to use EEkeeper to edit the characters.

Manually changing the FPS still works, since I currently play the game at 3x speed.

Or you can always use the CheatEngine's speedhack for the same effect.

Or y'all had mods installed that added the functionality in-game.

You can add back in the debug mode, and use ctrl-J to teleport your party. Great QL feature to speed up revisiting areas.

The button you are thinking is probably part of the CDTweaks mod. There is a mod that adds a special ability to speed up the movement rate of your characters outside of combat. I use it sometimes.

I'm pretty sure you can do it in EEKeeper.
