Import a character

Hi,
I want to start a new run at legacy of bhaal difficulty with a character that I previously used to end the game. How can I import an old character?

I will keep in my inventory all the objects that I found in the old run and all my equipment?

"New Game" button, then "Import" button. Just give it a try.

Yes. And you keep the exported character files, too. They don't get deleted. You can simply test importing and see whether it does what you hope it will do.

Export your character from old game to a file and remember which file it is; then import from that file during character creation. There you have it, one powerful character!

I didn't see an option for the exporting of characters. How do I do this then?

It is found on the character record. Key 'R' screen.

The export option is only available on characters you created yourself; not on the ones that joined you during the game. As said above, this export option is on the character record: it is the big word "export" under the character portrait.

You do not need to export characters; you can just as easily import a character from a normal save game.

You will revert to base amount of gold for starting that adventure. It is a good idea because of that to convert your gold into stuff to the extent you can before exporting a character.
