Where do you get it crafted? What do you have to do to get it crafted?

Take an Ankheg shell to the Thunderhammer Smithy in Beregost. Best place to look for Ankhegs is north of the Friendly Arm Inn, but you can also find them on the Gullykin map and the Ice Island, as part of Shandalar's quest in Ulgoth's Beard.

There is also a set of already made armor in one of the farm fields in Nashkel.

Thanks I finally got it to work. You have to politely refuse to sell the Anheg shell to the man in Thunderhammer Smithy for him to offer to make the armor. Yes the Ankheg armor just laying there in the farm field in Nashkel is great.

Yeah if you sell him the Ankheg shells, he will never make the armor for you.

Also you can get one in Naskhell, in the left near the house, if you look with the mouse carefully :-) I found it recently when I played again the original BG, I suppose in this edition is also available (I play here recently).

Yes that extra ankheg armor in the field sure makes the game possible sometimes!
