Baldurs Gate EE is not working
I tried absolutely everything (except emulating windows XP or 98) and from STEAM menu it don`t even start. While using the icon in local files I get error 0xc000007b.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit pro with Intel i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz and GTX 1080 Nvidia graphic card (8GB), SSD harddisc.

Someone know what to do or emulating older windows is the only option? This game is nostalgic to me since it was the second RPG after Planescape Torment that I played.

No, it works fine with Win 7 64-bit, but a few people may be affected by rare problems.

Maybe try Beamdog customer support: https://beamdog.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

I wrote to them hoping they will answer, I tried all solutions on the forum and nothing works even cleaned registry witch CCleaner but really nothing is working. I guess the same problem will be there in BG 2 EE and Icewind Dale EE

Works perfect for me in Win 10. Is a recent problem, or you couldn't play this game any time?

Some old games, like Commandos, have some troubles in windows 7/10 because of compatibility stuff (I had to do a million things to play Commandos in this computer, even using the steam version).

I recommend you wait til someone from steam gives you an answer, but there is a solution for sure. Good luck!:steamhappy:

Sometimes seems to be related to redistributables of Visual C++. Try reinstalling them (remove and install them from the Microsoft site[support.microsoft.com] or reinstall the game afterwards (should detect and update missing Visual C++ redists).

I did never work I can`t start it tried seeking errors got something like this: https://ibb.co/mjQdvF

Should I just download those files and put it into SySWoW64 or into the other one (I always fail with this 64 and 32 bit stuff)
Be patient. If you've contacted Beamdog support already, don't mess with your installation meanwhile. That would only make the trouble-shooting more difficult.

Use the Steam app game library properties menu to verify the installation files. Then let it rest until you get a response from Beamdog support. Or from Julius, their moderator here, who has helped others before with work-arounds or ideas what to try. It should be in his best interest to figure out what is the issue with your installation, since in the future it might affect others, too.

I think this is about some systemfiles not game files that are lacking or maybe I do not understand the troubleshooting tool.

It doesn`t help me that it works on other PCs if it don`t work on mine I need to find out what to do so it also works for me.

I did thats what I did first before asking on the forum and writing to beamdog, they answered and wanted me to tell more about the problem and after I did that I am still waiting for answer.

I hope they can fix it cause its really something weird since there is no other game that do not work at my PC everything works older stuff in emulation of Windows 98. For this one I havent found any cure its just stubbornly refuse to start :D

Now I got an answer and it could actually make me think bad of the developer:

"I appreciate the information, however, the issue you are having seems more related to Windows than to our game.

Please try the solutions that others have found to the 0xc000007b error. The most common solution when I look this up, is to update Windows and reinstall .Net Framework.

Good luck and have a great day"

Telling me some obvious stuff I already tried that did not work. It can`t be the windows or else some other game would also not work, why do it only happen with beamdog games but no other game old or new?

I made another question about some detalied help and I hope they will care about helping me, cause obviously something is different in their game than all the other games. My windows is standard Windows 7 professional with all .Net Framework, ALOpen etc. etc.

I have absolutely no idea what else I can try.... anyone with better ideas than the developer I really want those games to work and I can`t find out why they do not.

I found this where someone had such problem: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17023419/win-7-64-bit-dll-problems

And there he solved it with 3 missing OCX files, but he didnt write what OCX files they were.... Anyone have any idea what it can be?

Have a look at https://gamesqa.ru/kompyutery/oshibka-0xc000007b-824/ (you can google translate it to English)

The whole point is that I did exactly all the stuff they listed up there and in the end used Dependency Walker and got stuff like this: https://ibb.co/mjQdvF

I found all those DLLs and put them both into win32 and SYSWoW64 did they mean I should put those dlls into the folder where the game is installed or maybe the translator translated it wrong ?
