If you look up how to activate the console commands on mac (should just be a quick edit of the baldur.ini I believe) and then hit CTRL+Space and type "C:CreateItem("SCRL2K", 1)" and also "C:CreateItem("MISC78", 1)"
That is the invitation letter and it will put it straight into inventory.

Thanks a bunch! This worked, along with some of the info in the link you posted.
If anyone comes across this post and needs instructions for mac, just open Baldur.lua in TextEdit and add
SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')
at the bottom of the right list. Then press CTRL + Space and type what Klang said
