Invitations lost...
so i'm trying to get on with the Sarevok quest, going through the walkthrough... i get stuck where i need invitations to get into the Ducal Palace. thing is i killed Krystin and Slythe already a while back, so i can't finish Husam's quest. i have no idea where i left the items i'm supposed to pick up from the assassins' bodies. any ideas?

EEKeeper is what people use now, unsure if it works on OS X though. A quick search may help, otherwise can you use CLUAConsole?

If you look up how to activate the console commands on mac (should just be a quick edit of the baldur.ini I believe) and then hit CTRL+Space and type "C:CreateItem("SCRL2K", 1)" and also "C:CreateItem("MISC78", 1)"

That is the invitation letter and it will put it straight into inventory.

i don't even remember finding them... they sound like items i wouldn't just dump somewhere. maybe i killed the assassins too early?..

is there an editor that allows me to place these items in my inventory, that works on mac? i saw something called Gatekeeper, but it looks like that only works for PC.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You should find them on the male assassin's body in the Undercellar where they attack you. He also carries a +3 short sword, one of the best weapons you will find in Baldur's Gate. The invitation can be put inside your scroll container, so it won't take up any of your inventory slots. In fact Sarevok's diary can also fit in the scroll container, I believe the assassins's name is Slythe. If you already killed him, his body remains in place for awhile. This should happen after you return from Candlekeep with a price on your head in Baldur's Gate.

Thanks a bunch! This worked, along with some of the info in the link you posted.

If anyone comes across this post and needs instructions for mac, just open Baldur.lua in TextEdit and add
SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')
at the bottom of the right list. Then press CTRL + Space and type what Klang said :steamhappy:
