What missile weapon for Paladin?

i wonder what missile weapon recommended to choose for paladin (and kits)?

No recommendations needed. Paladin is an opportunity to use some of the crossbows and enchanted bolts you can find or buy, if you really ever see the need to attack ranged.

What about 18 in strength and using Composite Longbows?

You may need to tell a bit more what worries you.

The reason I've not recommended longbows is that often someone else uses longbows already, and then you would need to share ammunition.

Late in the first part of the game you can get the returning Throwing Axe +2, which is my favorite weapon for warriors, who want to do ranged attacks sometimes.

Look, the answer is simple, use whatever missile weapon you want your character to use.

Now if you are worried about "the best" (Which quite frankly is silly in the context of the BG Saga since the games ARE NOT HARD.) then I'd recommend taking a look at the wiki or Game Banshee guide to compare which weapons you get in order to decide but I assume that as a pali you are probably front line the majority of the time anyways.
