the "reveal details" button
is there a way to set some option to toggle the "reveal details" button to be on all the time?
it's getting tedious that i have to click it again and again every few seconds to see all the containers and lootable bodies and stuff. . .

As far as I know, when toggling the button it is supposed to stay on, but opening other screens resets it. That has never been fixed.

Pressing the TAB key is convenient though.

yeah, but you have to hold the tab key to keep it on.
I guess I'll just adapt to it. . .
it does stay on, as long as I don't look at the map or open any character screens.

It was added only in enhanced edition, or was it in the original game as well?

in baldur's gate 2 and the ee uses the bg2 engine.

besides, i think it's great that people still play

i'm playing pathfinder wotr right now , which is why i thought it was ironic that my old BG post got necroed

yeah, didn't notice the guy above me resurrected the topic for no reason. my bad. and yes, there's still hundreds of people playing this every day, even after 25 years.

Looking at SteamDB, 652 people are playing this at the time of my posting this, with a 24-hour peak of 715. And that is just on Steam.

So yes, indeed. Hundreds are still playing this every day!
