How to get Gilden in the war in the scenario?

Can someone give me a litte hint to what would get Gilden in the war?

There is a quest available on or near the road leading form where they are to the Kraxis... it will mention the Gilden and give you a choice... pick the wrong choice and you wont ever be able to get them to join

Perhaps that happened in my campaign. I got the "Gilden Merchant logs for Markin" but still couldn't complete the quest.

I was also having problems with achievements being recognized such as the killing of Abeix.

I posted this comment on another thread before I saw this one.

At some point I may restart the campaign.

yeah i didnt get the acheivment for killing Abeix in the campaign either... i assumed it was either because i was offline or the campaign doesnt count for some
