Is there a fix for the frequent crashes?

Before someone bungles me off to a tech-support forum or asks for my system specs: The crashes occur on 4 different PCs with different hardware. All are well above the minimum system requirements and handle the game fine until it (seemingly randomly crashes). This is why I think it must be a common problem with a fix (if one exists) that everyone knows about.
Some things I have observed about the crashes:
- Always on the strategic map
- Always during the transition from one turn to the next
- Game freezes for several seconds then crashes to desktop with the generic windows error message
- Sometimes the game crashes after 5 minutes, other times I can play 50 turns no problem
- Seems to crash more frequently on older PCs

I absolutely love this game but the frequent crashes are really starting to get annoying. Thanks a lot in advance for any advice.

I've been also having this problem. The problem is the same on two PCs. It's always in the late game and during transition from one turn to the next.
It's getting annoying as I have paid good money for this game and is totally unplayable in the late game.

If anyone has a save that reproduces an issue please post it in our support forums: http://forums.elementalgame.com/forum/1049 and we will check it out as well. But the good news is that we have already gotten some saves from players (thank you!) and our developers have been going through them and already have some fixes. We have more saves to checkout, and we will continue going through them and we will be addressing a patch to resolve them.

FE, probably not the most stable game ever. I think you just have to live with it, warmduscher, I also crash on multiple setups.

Thanks for the replys. Shame there is no fix to this problem yet.

In response to Kael's comment: I can not give you a save that reliably produces a crash on the next turn because as I said, the crashes occur at random times. When the game crashes I reload the last auto or quick save and play on. Somettimes I save only a few seconds before the game crashes and when I load that save the game works fine for 100 turns afterwards. There is no one situation or save game that always produces a crash

Shame, its really great game, but this bug/crash/freeze...i dont know...we all spend lots of money on all DLC's and game...and now i cant even play game til end. Good luck to devs. I really wish best to you alland hope that you'l find way to fix this prob.
