scroll speed?

can I reduce the scroll speed?
meaningful, not just to zero.
the scroll speed slider in the advanced settings let me put it to 0 or to 100, no value in between. what is that kind of joke? 100 what? and why not 50?
the scrolling if too fast for my taste at 100, and surely to slow (namely off) at 0.

Odd; I've always been able to adjust my slider speed to something in between 0 and 100. (I think I currently have it set to 40.) It almost sounds like you've discovered a bug.

I carefully investigated again - no chance, I can put it to 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400, no values in between. not useful at all.

Are you talking about the "edge scrolling speed" If so, just don't use it. You can hold and drag the map as you like. A combo of that hold/drag combined with zooming in and out via mousewheel is much better method IMO.

I actually turn off edge scrolling in all games that allow me to turn it off. I despise it, lol.

well, I also do not use edge scrolling, I switch it off, too.
but I normally use the arrow keys.
the slider for the "edge" scroll speed also influences the "arrows" scroll speed.
the scroll speed of 100 is so much too fast, so I cannot use the arrow keys.

if there is no other solution, I may have to use the middle mouse scrolling... it's something I never used before, though I know almost every game with such a camera has a kind of pan function...

A shame. Imagine adding the option to change scroll speed for edge scrolling but not keyboard scrolling. And having so many options but not that one. Such a crummy issue in an otherwise good game.

Thank you for reporting this again. This is a necro'd post from 2021. I did check and the Edge Scroll Speed Setting also applies to Keyboard Scrolling.

Options > Advanced Options > Edge Scroll Speed

I personally hold the left mouse button if I need more fine control of scrolling. I'll mention it to the community team though.

Do you have any idea if they’re still planning to release that patch we were supposed to get like two Septembers ago? Brad had mentioned one incoming but then I think GC4 patches sort of derailed it or something…
