cannot find my friends game

hey guys... i browsed the forums but theres alot of ranting goin on so i just made a new thread sorry bout that.
got a wierd problem that i have never seen with any game i have ever played.
Me and a friend have owned
CoH since first release and we own physical. We have sorted out the steam version with the keys n stuff and expansions. When we goto multiplayer lobby we cannot find each others game, not only that we see completly different games to one another. Even joining a chat channel there different ppl than what each other see's. As far as im aware there is still only 1 server we all connect to right ?? or is steam connecting us by our region? im UK m8 is Denmark. Tried connecting directly to each other through friends list and message just state that we cannot join. No real error message.

Anyone have any idea's on this?

I play CoH multiplayer with friends.

My friends are listed in steam and in the game lobby (friends).
I host a game, go to the lobby in CoH, chose a friend and click on invite. Same with other friends.
Attention: This is inviting using the GAME lobby, not steam! Steam inviting didn't work for me so far.

This still hasn't been fixed in over 2 years. I see people advertising their games in the chat but they don't appear for me in the lobby with all filters off and everything. Also when I'm hosting a game, it appears that no one else can see it.

we have the same problem.
when arrive the steam version we can play like relic server version.
One day 1 of our friend can't find our room in the list, but we can chat in the game and in steam chat.... we try averythiks... format pc, redownload game...but he don't find our room, and we no see his room....

You need to have identical versions of the game to be able to play each other. Excactly the same mod patched to exactly the same state, otherwise you will be invisible to each other. create a game in clasic match with a name they can recognise and they should be able to join.
