Input lag
Anyone else get this? The game runs fine for a while, and for whatever reason (possibly too many entities on the map?) inputs get delayed, sometimes to the point where you'd have to sit and wait for around half a minute for your units to follow those orders.

This issue was never present in vCoH.

Yes, theres that problem present since moving to Steam. But luckily, solution is on the way. I see you own CoH2. Relic started public testing of their new Battle Server tech which should solve these problems. Be sure to tell your friends, please. More folks in that test should ensure better results in the end. They also said there are plans of enhancing CoH1 with this tech in the future. Yea i am having these same issue... COH1 used to be my favorite game now sadly all these in game errors have ruined the game for me... Sad day. Wish they would destroy COH2 and bring back COH1 to its former glory.

Yes I have this problem too. It started back in early December 2013 with a Steam update. I could play just fine until then. I can still play 2 vs 2 on small or medium map, but 3 vs 3 on extra large map is hopeless. Unfortunately, I have a group of 2 other buddies who like to play regularly but now we cannot. I get 30 minutes or so into the game and the lag starts. The lag gradually gets longer and longer.. I've timed up to 3 minutes lag time from command to response. My buddies never have the problem, so I believe it is associated with only selected servers. They must be served by different servers than me. I have had the problem on 2 different computers in two different cities, but I used my same account. It obviously has something to do with the amount of data being downloaded. If the proper people knew of this problem, I've got to believe they could fix it! After all, they created the problem with that update!!!! However, getting the problem to the proper authorities seems to be a hopeless task. I've posted here many times with precise details of the problem which should help them diagnose and fix it, but we're going over 8 weeks since the problem started. If they think I am going to invest money into CoH2 they are fooling themselves. Why should I believe they would support that game any better than this one????

check your graphics setting set shader to high = direct x 9 having it on ultra = dx10 and mouse lag/input delay the game doesn't work properly under dx10

everything else can be maxed out apart from shader set that to high

leave it set to ultra then set everything else maxed out then switch from ultra to high as i think you cant max one setting unless ultra is on first in shader

All my settings are at the lowest possible level and it does not help. It is not my PC it is their server. And only a few of their servers have the problem, not all. I cant get them to fix it.

I'm bumping this year old thing in the hope that someone has a fix or answer for this problem.

The problem for this input lag is still present for me. Is there any new fixes? Having too many entities on the map actually delays my commands by 5-10 minutes. It's to the point where my team has already won the game and I'm just watching the game in the past.

You're replying to a very old thread but I'll help ya.

If you get lags or lag input in mutliplayer games it can mean several things:
1) They are from far aside thus when you join at their server locations you get spikes.
2) You have a very low-end PC or just not suitable enough for 3v3 or more.

I'd say you have the 2) problem. I have that one on my old laptop. The game works fine in 1v1 or 2v2, but in 3v3 I will get lag spikes and it's over for me. While on my new computer, that doesn't happen.
