How to beat CPU Expert?
CPU Hard is just way too easy on 1v1. I do can manage to loose to him when in a , for example 2v2 on a open map like Duclair due to the constant flow of units but otherwise 1v1 CPU is way too easily dealt with, and without Barbed Wired and Tank traps at all. With every faction, against every faction.

Now CPU Expert is a whole 'other deal . I hadnt played agaisnt for a long time but I recently tried to see if I could cause some Youtube in a replay said he could beat CPU Expert 1v1.

I failed. CPU's cheating is way too strong. 5 - 7min into a game CPU's got 3 sniper and 4 volks.

And his units are way too strong too. My full-health jeep vs. a pioneer squad vet 0 barely gets out alive with a damaged engine!

Lets say on a map like Langres , how would you go about OverPlaying CPU?

I dont wanna be using CPU's stupidity at my cheap advantage , like spamming Wires and Tank Trap everywhere and playing hyper defensive.

I dont think its straight out impossible because I've seen it happens.

Anyone?

It is pretty difficult, without exploiting the ai's stupidity as you say.

Because they get twice as much manpower as usual and as their units are better you cant really out produce them, or provide quality over quantity.

If you can beat hard ai fine, then you must be reasonable skill level so I can't share any tips unfortuantly.

Maybe just riflespam and secure a ton of munitions. Make a ton of casualty clearing stations as well, so you get extra riflemen.
Or if you are wehermact, go defensive doctrine and make a foward medic bunker, you can reinforce at the bunker, and get grenadier squads for free from your starting volksgrenadiers and pioneers allowing you to skip T2 if you dont want mortar, HT or anti-tank. Within a little bit of time, you may be lucky enough to have 7 or 8 grenadier squads which is more than enough infantry. All that reinforcing does drain manpower, but during that time you will be stocking up on fuel for tech/vetting.

I find the allied expert ai easier than axis expert ai.

I admit defeat against the Expert AI. If you find the Hard AI too easy, I suggest play 1 vs 2 Hard AIs or even 1 vs 3. I can manage a win against 2 Hard AIs plus 1 Normal AI, but that's about my limit.

One thing I suspect is that the Expert AI has no "fog of war". It can see the whole map throughout the game. That makes it very dangerous to play defensively because, once the AI gets artillery, those bombs will rain down on your head no matter where you are. I was assaulted by 2 Calliopes that way and it was not pretty.
Also, the moment you start spamming infantry, the AI will start spamming anti-infantry because it knows what you are doing. When your infantry show up, the machine guns and snipers will be waiting.

Every game I played against Expert AI was a train wreck. In the end I had to raise the white flag and crawl away. :-(

The trick to it is building MG's to hold down key choke points, and try to not loose units.

One of the things that will help you win vs Expert A.I. is knowing the map you're playing well.

A.I hates wire and tank traps

Sit in your base and hold out for the ai to stop building units. At some point they just give up and you can build up and out and assault.

picture speak more then words right? so video would give you even better picture on how to do it. now head over to your favorite video source (twitch, youtube, whatever) site and check it out. but it all boils down to exploiting ai's weakneses and the map it self. watch replays and try to counter it next time and watch for ai's reaction to your counters as it addapts brilliantly.

Cheese them. They get enourmous bonuses to absolutely everything including health

Go full Engineers and get a defensive perimeter line established with wire traps and Mg positions to cover vital areas. Capture a few resourse points and thats where you need mg positions to cover, hold and buy time. Get control of the situation an stall any attacks defensively. Then begin probing attacks to capture points and ground as you can witht the intent of holding those gains. Advance in a defensive posture.

Sorry to bring this up again but how do you play this way 1vs 1 or 1 vs 2, etc is it in skirmish mod ?

And is there a way to change difficulty in the campaign ?

Yes, we're talking about Skirmish mode.
The campaigns are quite restrictive and IMO not worth playing.
