online multiplayer

hi guys
is there anyway to play coh1 online ? i don't see any games in the lobby ,i can see people in chat joining and leaving rooms but no one is playing even if i host a game no one joins it
what's the deal here?

don't quite understand what you mean but the lobby is completely empty

There are three version of the game.
COH - Tales of Valor
COh - opposing front
COh - legacy version.

If you play those, you can't play multiplayer - server for them is down.

Try play the *Company of Heroes* which it is for the steam version. It's server is active.

i'm fully aware of what you said i have the steam version of COH and i can connect online read my post carefully i can see the chat rooms and see people there and talk to them but there is no games in the lobby

we don't have the same problem and what |KIR| GreenTech said might apply to you note that in order to play online you need to install COH steam version and run the multiplayer from there not from COH OP or COH TOV and also not from COh - legacy version

and yes i'm trying to go online with normal coh version, not legacy, not tales of valor and not opposing fronts.

hmmm maybe problem with your firewall try disabling it and see what happens some people here talked about port forwarding but i don't see this as relevant problem but again you can try

ok, thx. maybe i'll try that, but normally my av-software would tell me if something is blocked and coh2 online works without problems. What i've seen is that there are quite some people who suddenly have the same issues like me. (i just got the game a couple of days ago, i never could play online.)
I don't know if this is important, but when starting the game i get a tales of valor loading screen and the tales of valor logo in the main menue although i'm starting the "normal" not legacy version.

no problem at all ,and yeah it's normal to see tales of valor loading screen and the tales of valor logo or any thing like that since the game is complete version the loading screens are mixed,honestly i see no point to continue this game online there no rooms at all in the lobby and when there is you'll get kicked out cause you don't have a lot of wins under your belt which is wired how i suppose to win if there no one to play with

thx for your hint about the firewall. i didnt get any notification, but i could see in the log of my av-software that the connection was blocked.
i hope your problem is/will be solved too.

some minutes ago there were about 20 games in the lobby visible. maybe you have set one or more filters?
