Invasion of Normandy COH1 CD Key Problem Help

Ages ago I loaded my original COH1 CD key into Steam. This let me download COH1 via steam back then no problem. I then purchased OF and TOV on Steam itself.

I recently tried to reinstall and it won't unlock Invasion of Normandy for me. I see that there's some legacy version that looks like I need to own. I don't want to pay another $20 for a game I already purchased.

I assume I need to input my old original cd key into steam, but there's the rub. I don't know where that booklet would be, though I did just find the CDs themselves. I put the code into Steam... I don't know why Steam forgot it and there seems to be no way to appeal to Steam to just give me the Legacy version they should've given me the first time around.

Any help here would be appreciated. Do I have any other options than spending $20 to buy the legacy version?

so the legacy version is just the original version the normal coh is the new steam "remastered" version dont worry about the legacy edition I would ask steam support about it as I believe they have disabled all keys from working due to an exploit with ea play that allowed people to buy the cheap one time play pass and gain the codes and keep them for free forever but im also aware coh devs really changed how coh works and like I said COH is the new steam version COH legacy is the old original version also if you previously had COH installed it showed be in your Library even if it was ever uninstalled

Hmm, ok. I understood about the remastered thing, but assumed the "legacy version" was what enabled the Invasion of Normandy campaign.

So far steam hasn't been helpful. We'll see how things shake up and I'll update here if I ever solve this problem.

In case you have installed anything but "Company of Heroes", uninstall it and try again.

Ya I've been doing that already. Once I couldn't unlock Normandy I found that.

I think the issue here might be that my cd key never made it into steam, but was being validated by the old login system. Now that that system is gone, my cd key is gone and steam only validates the two DLCs which I bought via steam.
