Hello guys,

I would like create a map, and i read so much tutorial and i still blocked, lot of them told about the old version of COH, but on steam i can have only the new version (if it's possible please can u explain to me?).

So i tried to use world builder in the new steam folder and as u know the save is not possible so i exported files but it's write "success" but the file is only at 1ko... so i think it's a fail.

Hi dear friend

Map creation principles are the same as before, you can search "company of heroes map editor" on google and find platy of videos and resources.

Steam provides both the original game files and the Steam relaunch version of the game when you purchase COH through Steam. I personally use the old version of world builder that came with the original game to create maps since I've been building maps since the game was released. In order to save your map it must contain the following objects:

* minimum of 2 starting positions (assigned to each player)
* minimum of 2 map entry points (also assigned to each player)

If "starting positions" and "map entry points" are not placed somewhere within the "playable area" of the map the map WILL NOT save.

You can find these objects in the object placement tool of world builder under the following directory:

* ebps/gameplay/player_starting_position
* ebps/gameplay/map_entry_point

Assign them a player index by first selecting the object you wish to edit. Second you will click on the drop down menu under the "current" section of the editor bar. Lastly, select the player in which you would like your object to be assigned.

Hope this helps.

Hello guys!

Thank you for your help! But i have a new problem, when i save the map with the new world builder I have this message :"the selected file is outside of all known scenario folders". And when i use the old WB I have a crash relic.
This is where i save my files "D:\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\ww2\Data\Scenarios\MP".

I tried to export the map and it's a file of only 1 ko so i think it fail.

I see lot of "tutorial" for how to fix this pb but i don't understand x)

Thank you
