CoH asking for CD Key or for me to purchase the game!

Hi Guys,

I'm finding myself increasingly frustrated here. I activated CoH and CoH:OF on Steam back in 2013 and had everything working back in the day. I've since moved and purchased a new PC, and after downloading both games again (as both were available in my Library), I've been unable to launch and run the original CoH. Opposing Fronts seems to work just fine, but the game is telling me that I need to purchase the original CoH to play the Normandy campaign.

I have a perfectly valid copy of CoH but Steam Support says to contact SEGA Support if there are issues with launching the game or verifying the CD Key, but SEGA are saying there's nothing they can do!

I can provide screenshots of my library if needed, but Steam has verified that I activated both games back in 2013 so I can't activate them again.

Dam brother the only thing I could suggest is to back up game files if you get it loaded again. It seems as if the developer doesnt want to support an old game when it has newer ones.

So why dont you input your cd key if its asking you for it?

Select Company of Heroes legacy in library, under links its your CD key.

Or play non legacy version.

The game doesn't actually let me insert a CD Key, it's asking for me to insert the game disk which I no longer have (got lost years ago after I activated the games on Steam, so I figured no biggie). Even so I only have the OF CD and CD Key on hand - CoH is lost. Steam is still showing the game is activated though - ugh, I dunno what to do >__<...

if you go to https://archive.org/details/coh-2-cd-1-pc and download the ISOs once they download on windows you can double click on the ISO and open it with files, it emulates it being a disk in a player.
