COH Skirmish & Multiplayer not working
Hello! I've seen dozens of similar topics like this one, but they're all outdated or fail to deliver any working advice. So my problem is; when I try to start Skirmish in online mode, join any multiplayer game or host my own game, I get an error. My game worked fine for a long time, and this problem appeared suddenly without changing any settings anywhere.

I can see all the hosted multiplayer games, but can't connect to any of them. I can't host my own game or play singleplayer Skirmish unless I disconnect my internet connection entirely.

I have tried every single solution I've found online;

-deleting the playback folder in Documents
-deleting the entire CoH folder in Documents
-port forwarded every necessary port (UDP)
-made sure the ports are actually open with a port checker
-reinstalled the game multiple times
-performed a clean boot
-disabled firewall and anti-virus
-disabled all LAN cards except the one I use for internet
-and every other solution you can find online and in here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=175370459

Like I said, the game worked perfectly before, and then one day it didn't. I'm getting really desperate, since the game is great especially with mods, and I'd like to keep playing. Are there any other solutions for this problem or should I simply accept the fact that it just doesn't work for some reason? Thanks in advance.

Ressurecting this thread from the dead, as I'm experiencing this problem as well. I've also tried most of the solutions, as some of them are unnecessary knowing they are not the issue (mostly network related). I can also say that Ooooosh's guide does not work for a lot of users (myself also included) and seeing as he comments eitherway as if it's going to fix the issue ignoring the replies saying otherwise, I advise either seeking help from others or just waiting it out for a fix of sorts.

I would LOVE this issue to be fixed as I've become sick and tired of CoH2 to a point that I just outright hid it in my library (and removed it out of my faves long before).
I write this in good hopes and faith of some good solutions, and luck to you and the others seeking an end to these problems!

Cheers!

Been on multiple ISP's/IP's, the problem is still reocurring and consistent.

Nothing to do with anything the people suggest here.
This was working before, it might be a Steam problem, they want to sell CoH 2.

Then this is a problem for you to solve because you have exhausted all possibilities, meaning its isolated just to you so wipe pc and start again see if that helps

Just me or OP? Kind of a contradiction since we're both describing, what seems to be, the exact same problem.

There have been more than a dozen of other threads and has the same issue described - and that is of the singleplayer modes freezing the menu and loading once selected when the game is played in Steam's OFFLINE mode.

It's no coincidence that this is an occuring problem and it is definitely NOT possible that it is an "isolated" problem to anyone seeing as the game worked fine a good 10 or so months ago. All the responses that posters have been getting were vague non-solutions and other users claiming the existence of the issue.

If you have anything constructive to share, then please do so, because otherwise you're not helping...

P.S. Wiped the PC due to issues and aging of the machine itself a few times as routine a few times, and guess what the result is! :)
P.P.S. Oooooosh, is that you buddy? You can't fool me with that pic :)))

Is UPNP enabled on your router?

Have your tried reinstalling or verifying game files? Also, a quick way to see if your home internet connection is the issue... Try hotspotting your phone and seeing if u can get a game.
