Relic server unavailable

Anyone else have this problem? Instaled this game couple hours ago and It wont connect me to relic servers It says they're unavailable and that I should try connecting later.
Is it that the server is dead or am I one of the few with this problem????

You installed the wrong version

I have the one with all DLC's Company Of Heroes Legacy, Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor all in one.

Just install the "New Steam Version".

Add the CD Key in Steam and you will get the right version. The relic servers don't exist anymore. Clikc on "Games" in steam and "Activate a product on Steam".

I had the same issue this week. Stopped playing COH 6 years ago and could not figure out why I cann ot ocnnect to the server.

It's funny because I do have the new steam version and for some reason when I open the game it says in the game menu that Relic servers are unavaliable and I cant go to multiplayer.

I am new to this and have the same problem I have the New Steam Version and can only play against AI,, NOT able to get to a multiplayer game or play live online. Keeps say Relic servers are down. I have seen the comments saying that Relic no longer exsist but how do I get a game against another player rather than AI

You have a port problem on your router or computer something is blocking your connection for the game.

just tried to log in and its saying the relic servers are currently unavalible.

and I have been playingthe same version of steam for ages... they must be down

I do not understand why it ALWAYS shows that the Relic servers are down. I have not yet managed to connect to any server.. I understand that Relic no longer exsist. I have not been able to play against a real online player I have not managed to open multiplayer mode. I can only play campaigns or skirmish against AI. What I am doing wrong

THis is COH1 I am referring to . I did manage to connect to COH2 on Steam but I want to play COH1 on STEAM against a real player Not just AI

Yeah man I know the feeling.. I was really hoping to play some COH 1 online because I never got the chance.. Now I got it on steam and it doesn't work. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it but It didn't help. I've tried to find intel online but no one has any solution yet.. I've tried couple of things but none of them seems to works. Idk about port forwarding but it does seem like a lot of work after I bought the damn game. The relic servers did go down I believe in 2013, but soon after it was replaced by steam servers which we're not able to connect, and I dont know why. Obviously this is a HUGE problem because there are a LOT of players having the same issue. It's not cool that steam is letting us put up with this issue, they should fix the error!!!
