You need either Tales of Valor or Opposing Fronts. Its one of those. Then you can use the T17 and M18.

I am aware, i have many friends who have tales of valor and i heard it unlocks 3-4 missions, 2 new team types (british and panzer elite) and i believe it also unlocks operations.

Correct. Opposing Fronts can ALSO unlock the Commonwealth and Panze Elite armies, as well as Operation Market Garden and the Liberation of Caen. Opposing Fronts DOES NOT give you reward units, however.

You're welcome.

Word of advice: neither of those units are game changers. It wouldn´t make sense if they had added pay to win units. The M18 and the T17 are just different interpretations of the concepts of the M10 and the M8, respectively.

I only have Tales of Valor and it unlocked both units. I quite like the Hellcat, but the other not so much. Both are different units to the ones they replace, but neither is significantly overpowered.

Arguably the Hellcat is better, with it's .50cal machine gun upgrade, camoflauge ability and from what I've read there is a bit of a glitch with the M10 wolverine in that the gun sometimes shoots, but it infact doesn't.

T17 has phospohorous rounds. But no .50cal upgrade or armoured side skirts. I think it may have more health than a normal greyhound, but less health than an upgraded one.

If anything I like the Schwimmwagen units for the Whermact and Panzer Elite. They have slightly more health than a motorbike, meaning that they can withstand one sticky bomb, but if they are already damaged then they are dead anyway. They can also travel along water which can be handy in some swampy maps. Also the Panzer Elite schwimwagen has different abilities to the Kettenkrad which may be worth looking into.

Geutzwagen I don't think is that good. It does cost 8 population over a Stug's 4 which is a big deal for myself.

Kangaroo carriers. People complained about them being OP. I dont know if they ever change anything about them. People also complained about Staghound being OP and very good against infantry. Of course, you choose that reward unit and you can no longer make Cromwell command tanks, which is vital if you want to make some Fireflies.
The Staghound actually has a higher-damaging AND faster-firing .50 cal, compared to the Sherman/Half-Track/Hellcat/Greyhound's.

I love the Wehrmach Schwimmwagen upgrade and use it all the time. It costs a little more than the motorbike, but has the huge advantage that it can continue firing as it reverses out of trouble. The bike cannot go backwards so must present its rear as it retreats. Also, the Schwimmwagen has a decent speed across water.

I tried the Geschutzwagen a few times, but consider it a glass cannon and went back to the Stug.

Does anybody have this problem with the British Staghound Armoured Car? When I replaced my Cromwell Command Tank with the Staghound, it never gained any experience. Consequently all my tanks stayed at "green" vet status for the game. The Command Tank vets up with experience, but not the Staghound. Very annoying.

Yes, I believe the Staghound does not give veterancy.

As for the Geschutzwagen: It's really a sidegrade. You trade a turret-less tank for a mobile AT gun.

I prefer the Stug to the Geschutzwagen. It doesn't have turret traverse, but it can take a lot of punishment. Two shots into the Geschutzwagen and it explodes into a ball of scrap.
