World Builder can't save maps

Using the Relaunch/New Steam Version of Worldbuilder, I'm getting the error "The Selected File is outside of all known scenario folders".

I've already created "C:\Users\Bev\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes\ww2\Data\Scenarios\MP" for Worldbuilder to work from, as it was complaining at me if I tried to work from the Relaunch/New Steam Version folder, and I'm still getting this error.

Any ideas?

The issue with WB not saving is not the same issue in this case of this post

The steam version of the WB has an error not covered in that link.

You have to download the old non steam version for now and use that WB to save maps

Idiot ? have you tried saving a map with the STEAM VERISON of the WB ? after editting it ?

You get an error " The selected file is outside of all known scenario folders "

no matter what you do you can not SAVE the map

only export not save it

thats why i gave the infomation i did so am not an idiot thank you

Bro I'm working on my map right now, saving the map in
C:\Users\myuser name\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\Data\Scenarios\MP,
exporting it to
C:\Users\myuser name\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\Scenarios\
and publishing it. Only the in-game workshop interface is messed up so I can't update maps once they're online. Still, it works.

NO NEED to download additional 10GB, really.

if you want to make changes you can not save it only export it

Excuse me, could you clear that up a bit? As far as I know, you have to take it down, replace old with the updated *.sga and publish it again.

no matter which folder you save your map to

Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\Scenarios\

or C:\Users\user\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes\WW2\Data\Scenarios\MP

it wont save NOT EXPORT save AS does not work

you just cant upate the map on workshop i had to make a new page for my map with a few bug fixes i made

If you want to make changes and save them to finish off later on you can not with the Steam WB if you want to make changes to your map you have to use the old WB to save and to load it and edit it and save changes yes you can export it into COH / workshop etc but you can not save any changes with WB Steam version


have you editted your map to make changes like a fuel point etc ? Then been able to save it? not export it

First of all I'd like to apologize for being rude earlier, I just thought you were some kind of troll. Sorry. :)

Now with that behind us, I WAS able to save. I still am. However only in "relaunched" folder, as I mentioned earlier.

Btw I never export from WB owing to bad experience, I use Corsix's Mod Studio for all my *.sga files.

I seen this error many times and from friends to and that was the only way i could save my map to edit later etc

Yes. I'm not getting that problem only when saving in C:\Users\myuser name\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\Data\Scenarios\MP

I had a map with 900 subs and now I'm back to zero because of an update...
