[Opinion] Season 2 is a failure

Edit: This opinion based review doesn't include the Jurassic Party Update.

My opinion is based solely from my own experience, observation, interaction with others.
I could be biased and I don't speak for everyone.

Let's start slowly and also I have cut my points shorter than I originally plan to write...

The reason why I love this game in general:
- 1 GB in size, the game is super optimised. It only takes a few seconds to jump into the game from launching it to getting into a match.
- The fluid movement, jump-slide-cancel. This is the first time I get to use this feature effortlessly in an FPS game.
- Easy to learn and easy to master. Once you get used to the movement, one shot one kill is easy considering you're using sniper.
- Free to play.
- Combat Master mode is kind of refreshing.
- The best part is the sweats (yeah I know but...) it is the definition of a fast paced shooter.

Here is a few things that I don't like in general:
- No anti-cheat.
- Hackers and stupid bots. There's no report function for hackers and the bots are ridiculously annoying when they run in a straight line, or not moving, and also focusing on defusing bomb despite enemy is right in front of them. Even there are human players in the lobby, we occasionally get teamed up with bots.
- Progression is way too slow. Took hours to reach to the max level even with boosters.
- Lack of contents / updates.
- Nerfing guns to favour the noobs that played like once or twice. Not that it matter much and it wasn't a big problem, rather they nerfed it because the hackers abuse the guns.

SEASON 1:
When the game firstly introduced Demon Slayer and Combat Zone, it was fun. People are having fun with the battleroyale mode. Although, there was no in-game voice chat. Despite the lack of Duos and Quad, people are still enjoying it. We took this game as an alternative for COD: Warzone and alike.

SEASON 2:
Oh man, we have been asking, we have been waiting. For almost a year! We asked for anti-cheat, we asked for Duos/Quad. We love the Combat Zone and expecting more maps and guns, besides skins. After months, what do we get? Before I'm telling you about it, here is some of the things that they promised on the store page:
"THE ULTIMATE MULTIPLAYER EXPERIENCE
- No lootboxes, no money-pulling mechanics.
- No advertisiments. Completely Ads-free."

Now, do they act as how they promised? Upon launching the game (Season 2), you will be presented by tons of ads to buy the skins and whatnot. There's also "waifu" kinda lootboxes that can be bought with CP points. The promise? That was a lie.

So, what do we get? What's the updates?
- Still no anti-cheat
- Bots were not updated. Hackers still running free. Still no report button.
- Progression is still painfully slow. (I'm on max level but I speak in general)
- Still no in-game voice chat especially in battleroyale mode.
- Duos and Quad haven't been introduced.
- They locked the old battleroyale map and introduce a new smaller map which a lots of people dislike.
- They give us Akimbo M4 Dragon Breath which is ridiculous considering the hackers will be having more fun than ever. (yes, they nerfed it as they did on weapons in Season 1, only because hackers are abusing it)
- Due to some reason, they locked the global chat. The game now feels like a ghost town.

But, wait, do we get anything that's refreshing though?
Sure thing! They introduce paraglider mode which is hella fun! But if you didn't run a private server, you will only get to use the paraglider in 2 (two) specific maps. The new Combat Zone's map and Highrise.

What else?
They introduce "Operations", a storyline which nobody care to read bunch of texts, and missions to unlock some items/skin. This is where I started to think...

On the surface, it may look good. Finally, we have something to grind for! But, wait... The missions are tedious as ♥♥♥♥! For example, you have to get 30 headshots for 3 stars achievements in one go. That is ridiculously stupid and hard because if you get 29 and suddenly your teammate kill and gain the match point, you have to restart from 0 on the next try.

Yes it is doable and I already finished one of the Operation with full 3 stars. The problem is, a lot of us had to play in custom with friends or bots to avoid doing the same thing over and over just because our teammate killed the last person. This doesn't seem like how it should be. This is similar to playing a game that require to check online guides to proceed. The mission should be naturally achievable in public matches. Git gud, am I right? I may not be in top 10, my rank is 600+ and the game considered me as in top 1%. Even at this level, I had to spent hours upon hours to complete the Operation with 3 stars. Let alone those thousands of people. The Operations will be left unfinished by many.

My theory is that, the Operations are meant to make us busy while waiting for God knows when is the new updates, and I'm not gonna bother doing that. I'm tired of waiting and requesting something when they never deliver what we have been asking for months. Devs should listen to us but they never did. For these reasons, I think Season 2 is a failure, perhaps even the game itself is failure now. "But, sir, there are hundreds if not thousands of people still playing, it is not a failure?" numbers of clueless people doesn't equal to the quality of the game. Yes, you can still have fun with the game, but supporting it, is similar to supporting Ubisoft and EA when they keep throwing ♥♥♥♥♥ on your face. Numbers of players doesn't matter in this case.

With all honesty, I do still play the game from time to time to kill time. It is one of the game that I'm proudly will say that I'm good at. This post is to voice out my disappointment with where the game is going.

We all know the game is free. If they gonna use that excuse then probably one day the game will be free from players. There are a lot of free games out there that listen to the community and thriving because of that. Maybe that's not their goal?

The ads are pretty annoying. As for the operations, there are some in which you need a custom game to obtain 3 stars. I'm stuck with 360 turn AWM no scope kills, triple kill with R7000 skeleton, and down 3 enemies in Combat Zone

actually u can paraglide as a perk in multiplayer but u dont know that since u didnt do u rresearch first off. second off they locked game chat because cheaters werespamming links to cheats in it so now they muted it which u would also know if u did u rresearch

put the 80% accuracy barrel on ur sniper in multiple and just spin while on the ground and shoot its realy easy

"Due to some reason" simply mean there is a reason, I just didn't wrote it down. All you have to do is ask. To discuss this matter. I was there the whole time when the spammer was spamming. Instead of blocking their IP and ban their account. The dev lock the chat until today.

Paraglider as a perk is different in comparison to Paraglider as a mode. Read carefully, and if you don't understand, ask a question instead of being a smartass. My point was, I'm hoping for a Paraglider mode just like TDM and SND, with map rotations.

360 No Scope:
Just turn around and shoot. If you're struggling with your aim I would suggest put a tape on your screen as a crosshair, it would help. Or download crosshair x on steam for the same thing. Some reported that you can also bash with your sniper (after 360 turn) instead of shooting, it will be counted. I haven't try that.

R7000 Triple Kills:
You only need to be quick, it doesn't have to be 3 kills in 1 shot. Depends on your skill, small map might help. Or I would suggest to go on top of the tower in Caribbean map.

Downing 3 enemies in Combat Zone:
This is quite difficult, the enemy must have self-revive kit. I would suggest to play with friends.

Season 2 is failure - No Pokrovsk so far, so never played since 8 AUG as that was my favorite. I was thinking that with S2 will vehichles for the map etc but it's locked completely, so I'm just waiting when it will be back. About ADS - don't have problems with them...

Indeed, that's what I've been told as well. My disappointment on this matter is that, they added bunch of stuffs we didn't ask for rather than work on what people has been asking. Looking forward for an update in the future.
