Combat Master

Combat Master

Improvements to be introduced and hopes for the 3rd season
First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for the effort the development team has put into Combat Master. The game is incredibly well-optimized, and it’s clear that a lot of hard work has gone into creating a unique experience in such a small memory footprint. I’ve been a dedicated player since 2022, and I’ve supported the game by purchasing most of the available content, including battle pass tiers and cosmetic packs. This is because I genuinely believe in the game and its potential.

However, I would like to address a significant concern regarding the current anti-cheat measures. While I acknowledge the team’s initiative in creating a proprietary anti-cheat system, I believe that relying solely on an in-house solution may not be sufficient to effectively combat cheating. Unlike larger companies such as Riot Games with their advanced Vanguard system, developing a robust anti-cheat mechanism requires substantial resources and expertise.

Currently, there are widespread cheats available online for Combat Master that can be found with just a simple search, including sophisticated cheats like those offered by AimJunkies. These are not just simple exploits that can be detected by monitoring game data; they represent a more serious threat that undermines the integrity of the game and the experience for legitimate players.

One example of the limitations of the current anti-cheat is its inability to differentiate between legitimate programs, like performance monitoring tools, and actual cheat software. For instance, I receive notifications from my antivirus asking if Combat Master should be allowed to read data from my FPS Monitor software. This approach is not only ineffective but also disruptive to the user experience.

Moreover, it's important to note that cheat developers are constantly evolving their methods to bypass detection. They create code that can easily clean the screen of any visible evidence of cheats, making it nearly impossible to catch cheaters through traditional means like memory reading or overlay detection. Assuming that taking screenshots or monitoring program memory is enough to catch cheaters is an outdated approach. Cheat developers are highly skilled and adapt quickly to new countermeasures, which is why a more sophisticated anti-cheat solution is necessary.

To truly protect the game and its community, I strongly recommend implementing a well-established anti-cheat solution like Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). This would significantly improve the detection and prevention of cheats, providing a more fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

Implementing a robust anti-cheat system is also a necessary step toward introducing ranked modes. Many players, including myself, are eager for a competitive environment where skills can be tested and progression is meaningful. Without a reliable anti-cheat system, it's impossible to ensure fairness in ranked play, which is likely why this feature is currently absent. By tackling the cheating problem effectively, you would pave the way for ranked modes, adding a new layer of engagement and retention for players.

Additionally, while addressing these issues, I would like to suggest some improvements to the game itself. Enhancing the character models, especially female characters, to be more visually appealing and less blocky could significantly boost player engagement. Introducing more diverse cosmetics and skins that appeal to a broader audience would also be beneficial. For example, adding physics for certain character features, such as breast movement, and even more daring content like “naked” skins (appropriate for different age rating / 12+) could attract more players and make the game more exciting.

To summarize, if you want to see significant growth and increase revenue, focusing on these key areas—implementing a robust anti-cheat system across all platforms, enhancing the visual and cosmetic appeal of the game, and introducing ranked modes—will be crucial. This will not only attract more players but also retain your current loyal fanbase who are eager for a better, cheat-free gaming experience.

I am passionate about Combat Master and want to see it succeed. I urge you to consider this feedback seriously. An investment in a better anti-cheat system, game enhancements, and competitive features is an investment in the game’s future and its community.

I agree with everything here. But sadly Riot stated a few years ago their source code for their games and anticheat were leaked. There's thousands of videos posted every week of cheaters in league and Valorant. Sadly there is nothing we're going to be able to do to combat cheaters. And while I appreciate the devs taking a stance and trying their best. I give it a week tops before we're back to where we are now.

As for graphical, as stated before we won't be seeing anything like that anytime soon. And I mean that's at least 5+ years out assuming the game survives that long. This is a mobile game first and a PC port second. They would have to make an entirely new engine from the ground up at this point unless they want to asset rip, but as we've seen from other games like BodyCam, it's not even worth the effort.

As much as I wanted an anti-cheat, I think it will be costly for the devs. I don't think they're making much from this game. Report function, moderators/admin is a more logical approach imo. That being said, if they can afford it, anti-cheat is really needed.

I disagree with the naked skins, but it is something I couldn't stop. I avoided CODM and alike due to the waifus skins. That's just my own personal preferences though.

i would prefer a proprietary anti cheat solution over easy anti cheat, because the latter is known to cause compatibility issues for linux if not implemented correctly. plus, there are mobile players who should be included in their anti cheat, and i do not even know if easy anti cheat exists on mobile.

I have a suggestion: I think it would be nice if Alpha Bravo can bring a body armor & outfit customization mini update on combat master. What I mean is that players can customize their helmets, gloves and body armor. The fixed outfits and characters are not so nice. All players in battle are looking alike.

As stated a hundred times. The devs do not read the steam forums. Any questions or requests must be done on their discord.

Also I'd say 99% chance that won't happen. It's a cod clone. It'll be skins only as far as I'm aware.
