Have to play Windows version on Linux - Can't plant or defuse bomb

Hi,

Is anyone else having issues with keys not working in the game??

I have had to restart the game from level 1 and run it under WINE because the devs broke the Linux version back in January and I've lost ALL my friends and ALL of my purchases.

I can't plant or defuse the bomb, no matter which key or button I assign. I probably won't be able to manually interact with any game element so CM mode is unplayable, too.

I, personally, think it is better to fix the basic bugs first and start from a solid codebase before adding all the bells and whistles... In my humble opinion.

Also, the full-screen adverts are obnoxious and frustrating. It has had a negative impact on my feelings towards the devs and the game. Which was my fave until the January 'update' broke it.

Also, can't pick up weapons in Combat Master game mode.... I can literally only move and shoot.

Didn't realise humans had unlearned how to read keyboard input O_o

Won't launch on Linux and only partly works on Windows.

What happened??? Can we go back to the version that worked, please??????? O_o

If you have anything other than the m&k plugged in, ie: a controller, vjoy, racing wheel

The game will not function as intended. Remove and or uninstall the software and it should work fine.

This game works very well on the Steam Deck. This device uses Linux version.

No, the Steam Deck uses Proton for CM (although the OS is Arch-Linux)
(Just have a look in the Combat Master direction ... You'll find the "cm.exe" :)

I'm on Linux (mostly, have Win too), had to play on Proton the whole January
(where you lost your name, ranking, all! Restart at level 0) ,
then next update came... Name, ranking, settings, ... all back, meanwhile level 55
No problems, runs pefect (little bug in key-bindings ... is to handle)
"Can't plant or defuse bomb" could be this bug ... look here in the forum for key-binding

Verify installed files, try reinstall ... also the change back vom Proton(s exe) to the native Linux-version can be tricky

also getting the same issue on pc, it shows the button assigned for interact/defuse/plant bomb but its grayed out and not working. Tried reassigning to other buttons, the prompt changes but still does not work

Did you try this?
Reset to default, restart game.
THEN
Change keybinds, restart game.

The menu wont show the changes but they will be effective in game.
