1, It doesn't matter what you change them to, they will reset to default after restart.
2. It doesn't matter what you change them to, they won't work in-game, without exiting.
3. Sometimes a key or button will work a few times and then stop in the middle of a game.
You are forced to use default settings. Which, by the way, if you change any keys and try to use the "Reset to default keybindings" button, that does not work either.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, without any luck.
Tried finding where the keybindings are in the application files, without any luck.
That is good news. I will keep trying. Did you lose any player data?
I completely uninstalled, used AppCleaner to find any lingering resources, wiped them all out. Uninstalled Steam and did the same, then rebooted my computer. I am on a MacBook Pro M2. Reinstalled everything, didn't lose any player data, but all of the settings were reset and had green dot indicators everywhere, like all my weapons and camos were new...
AND STILL, the keybindings do not stick. Is this just me now? Is this maybe just Macs?
no i got a windows its not mac problem. thanks for the answers i thought im the special one
Good to know, but not good for players who play with customized keybindings ... I've gone to options in the game and used the link on the right to contact the developers. No reply yet, but if enough of us do it, hopefully we can get their attention.
Unfortunately no ... the only response I've gotten is from some fan boy defending the developers, but no response from the actual developers. We are just to assume they know about it.
"They do know about the issue, I don't know why people don't think their discord and stuff isn't filled with people wondering what's happening. If you're saying you've seen people post about it, then they know, please stop bugging them. Fixes take time, this isn't a AAA company, it's run by 5 people."
IMO, if there are 5 people, then there are at least 5 chances that they could have found this bug before releasing the update and messing everyones settings up.
but after some restarts it works now
for 2 days meanwhile ... (I hope continously ;)
Just re map the keyboard keys with Microsoft Power toys.
While waiting for an update it allows you to play..
I'll give you a tutorial below
