In all transparency, that min-spec was written ages ago just as a baseline that we were sufficiently confident the game would _start_ on. It should by no means be interpreted as a reference point for any specific framerate at any specific resolution.
That said, the game does complex physics, (more than) occasionally renders a silly amount of particles, has plenty of 3D objects flying around, and these are just some examples of things that can be separate bottlenecks on different PCs.
In good news, that gives us lots of areas to work on - on the flipside, not every optimization is significant to every PC.

I don't know if this is intentional, but the cars always slow down way too much.

Great and instant nostalgia. But a bit rough in terms of optimization. I want the option to turn more features i don't need down or off.

I like the demo, but i have some feedback. The autodrive is a bit lacking (only one route) and the minigame where you hold Dismount doesn't affect manual drive which it should

Also an option to turn traffic into dismount characters would be nice

We’re trying to emphasize manual steering more now, but the keyboard controls for it are currently not prominent enough.
And yes, the dismount button state should affect manual launches.

thanks secret exit for helping me with the manual driving controls. also theres a bit of bugs and few other stuff with glove plaza that just make it hard to beat (only beat it 2 times). #1 the cops always perfectly predict where your gonna go and since the cops aim for the front (where the steering wheel and engine are) it makes it more hard. #2 the cops go very fast, kind of connects with #1 with how hard it is to dodge a cop because they predict where you will stop. anyways there should probably be some speed limit on the cops. #3 the gloves interact with everything, i noticed the gloves literally interact with everything. i got the gloves one time and i instantly got sent flying with a fully destroyed car.

also heres a suggestion: please add some setting making the levels like glove plaza easy to beat like "Easy - Medium - Hard" and probably a impossible mode where basically all the bugs become a feature in the impossible mode

The game has become much more action-packed and the addition of detailed damage effects makes it very fun and humorous. However, one thing that could be added is a deformation feature for the car bodies. Beyond just having parts break off, the remaining chassis could have a soft body-like deformation. This would make it more realistic, and if even the broken-off parts had this physics, it could create a much more realistic appearance. If this deformation effect was applied to the AI cars and the player's vehicle, it would be really great.

Go play BeamNG instead then, because deformation just doesn't fit the cartoony style of this game.
I have no problems so far but ive only played for like 15 minutes. Love the option to change the music tho :steamhappy:

Nah, I think it's fine as-is.

You don't need to use the Dismount button to use manual controls. Just press forwards at any time on the arrow keys and you'll start driving, you don't have to use the button first.

I like that as-is personally.

No, we do believe the timing aspect of starting at an opportune moment would give launching that extra oomph ;)

Well what about when you just press the forward key without launching like it currently does? Maybe it just revs the engine up and you can't go forwards without doing the launch minigame with Space first?

Overall the dismount power shouldn't affect the driving speed with manual driving especially since you have manual throttle control anyways, maybe it should just only affect the initial launch when you're starting off but then normalize after.
