alternative to zdoom
So i am running ultimate doom on zdoom as it doesn't work normally with win8 but since it is working in a diferent engine it requires you to aim and you walk too fast, are their any alternatives that run more closely too the original versions found in the 90's

Have you tried Odamex? http://steamcommunity.com/groups/odamex
Thanks! works a charm
zdoom doesn't require you to aim any more than original doom did. As for walking faster I'm not sure but I doubt that's true.

I did timed walks and runs in both zdoom and original doom and there's no difference in speed. It's possible that the graphics are just giving you that impression.

you have to aim up and down something that the original doom nether did it was simple case of looking left and right
You don't have to aim up and down, trust me. You can LOOK up and down if you want but there's no vertical aiming.

Check out Chocolate Doom. It tries to be as much like the original as possible.
