Will those games ever gonna get the Nightdive treatment?

I'm curious what people want to see from a Hexen/Heretic rerelease since a lot of source ports seem to still have better functionality than the Kex port and neither game really seems to be in dire need of a mod browser. Why not just buy it now and run it through DSDA?

I really would like a re-release of Hexen and Heretic but only because Activision has the rights to Heretic 2 and a DLC for Hexen 2 it wouldn't be so bad if they re-released them officially.

Microsoft has them though only if the CEO brings that to them it's happening. Though still up to Microsoft because Activision is is already bought by them.

Honestly, I'm more interested in heretic 2 and portal of praevus being available digitally than anything.

A kex type update for heretic and hexen wouldn't be a terrible idea if only to get them into a wider audience though.

I am 90% in your boat, but those games are lost treasure to a lot of people. There is no modern console port of Heretic (idk about Hexen because idc about that game), and the mod scene is tiny outside of using its assets in Doom WADs. Some people don't want to mess around with source ports, or they feel intimidated by them. These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ports break them in.
