Such an amazing game. Especially the first, one of the best shooters ever made.
Second one wasn't as good in my opinion but was a nice step up visually. I miss the days when games had clean and sharp graphics instead of garbage filters and post-processing effects everywhere. The PS3 era shooters were particularly egregious with this i can't even look at them without gagging. Meanwhile you can still load up stuff like Half Life 2 today and it looks as pretty as ever.
Its frowned upon and companies hate it but it isnt technically illegal.
And ♥♥♥♥ em anyway if they wanted to make money off the ♥♥♥♥ they could
Actually Night Dive has had the source code to both for years. Source:

Ain't that some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Zero people have been prosecuted for piracy, several have been for hosting.
Most that I know of thats ever happened is someones internet got shut off from the demand of the IP rights holder, then all that was needed to be done was to call the isp and ask for it to be reconnected, just basically to be a scare tactic.
I see. I thought of it as abandonware because it's available in those sites, didn't know about that situation and how Nightdive already tried to acquire it and failed due to a lot of bureaucracy and lack of interest from those who own the rights.
Not fully true since there is a false patch but it's playable just not the OG Heretic II. Went there done that still have the disc better have no fog because that is the false patch.
Which is what Thermal Lance's ask was in the first place.
Well it questions if the fog is from a Id Tech 3 engine. American McGee's Alice had a similar design set up but different engine.
I do question if they used the wrong engine for the Quake II engine of Heretic II?
Microsoft has them though only if the CEO brings that to them it's happening. Though still up to Microsoft because Activision is is already bought by them.
