The problem is the ownership is a mess of multiple license holders and they haven't been able to sort it out. Nightdive's CEO wants to re-release NOLF and its sequel, but hasn't been able to due to the licensing problems.
Dude, we have as much info as you do.
NOLF is a very special series to me, even Contract JACK. The situation there absolutely breaks me heart. It's literally being hosted on a website that's easily found on Google though, and has been for over a decade at this point. No C&D has been sent. Fans have done an amazing job with keeping those games alive and patched for modern systems.
The issue is so many people having controll over the ip but none of them caring enough to actually do something with it even when nightdive and others go to them to try to untangle the mess of it all to put the games out officially again. Even when that would mean money for the license holders.
That's more than what most "abandonware" games get.
I run it fine on win11
Which is what Thermal Lance is asking for. A legal method to obtain it easily.
It's a licensed product under, at this point, microsoft as they now own Raven.
It is in no way "abandonware". It's just not up for sale digitally.
