This is the first time I have ever seen accessibility options on by default. A bridge too far. You are now the second person to notice you weren't getting the iconic red pain response flashes. It pains me to think how many people are missing out and don't know.
It's currently happening and will continue to happen.
You literally have to go out of your way to leave them enabled.
Obviously they know how to read. Literacy is a skill most people possess. Obviously they just skipped ahead and or didn't know what they were doing.
"Accessibility options? Yea whatever don't know what that is, don't care, on by default so must be a good reason and I don't want to break something."
I really hope "on by default" accessibility options don't become a thing for future releases. I also hope this gets fixed.
There’s really no need for you to be insulting.
And defaulting to on and being presented with a screen about it is standard for major publishers.
Even indie devs are doing accessibility options.
Accessibility options are great. But they should be off by default, by all means go ahead and present them when the game is booted for the first time, but do it something like, "This game has accessibility options for people with certain handicaps or special preferences, click right here to see a list of what they are and to enable or keep disabled."
