Chainsaw kill counter for the achievment is stuck

Im somehow stuck with 32 kills in my counter even though i've already surpassed that number

I've heard chainsaw kills only count in doom 2 levels, try getting kills in them if you haven't already

Huh, that's weird. I don't remember getting any chainsaw kills in Doom 2 (or any other package other than Doom 1) yet but maybe im wrong

The chainsaw is in all of the games.

The achievement chain saw in my case was activated while playing Doom 2, so perhaps, like other achievements, it is bugged and must be done in the Doom 2 WAD.

Update: you were right! I finally started Doom 2 and the chainsaw kills are finally counting
