doom is overrated, and tell me why?

wathever this just go to ♥♥♥♥, read it if you have a heart becuase im just being bombarded by bait accuses, im out of here a bit angry a bit sad, if you want read it, because i just lose faith now

ok, i wanted to say this for a while, but doom... is overrated, i never got into the doom love and how people really likes the games excluding the revolution and importance it was... and i will make a list of why i think is so overrated

1- it's really monotonous, the gameplay is too much the same, and i will say its not that much fun either, it's fun but not that much... but it's too much the same, i don't get how people play all these games and mods, how they don't get bored...

2- i like some mazy levels, i really like maze like levels in videogames, but here it's too much exagerated, sometimes i want to explore and immerse myself, other times i just want the exit no matter what

3- there are too much points where you die very easily, like falling into a pit and not find how are you suppose to get up (not find in time), and there are enemies really get you all the times, like when you are in a battle with 20% health, it's no matter how much you concentrate and focus, you will die, for a principle factor... you can't save you... you can move fast to not obtain damage from enemies, but at that speed is not possible to shoot and aim the enemies right...

4- it's toooo much mindless, the more i play the more i can't stand it, it's boring... for exemple in doom 2016 every combat is different because you have challenges, to upgrade you have to complete some things "kill 30 demons this way" and this grinding make every battle different because you have to do different objectives like line up 3 enemies and shoot with a weapons or be tactic and find yourself a way to complete some things... im not complaining about the 1993 game but how people like it so much, because there you just... ... shoot... ... shoot enemies for hours and hours of content including mods and fan made maps... how exactly? i like the final doom levels on inferno because there, there are some kind of puzzles, the skull buttons to open passages... that was fun, i enjoyed that, but that was only 3 or 4 levels or less.... i can't stand hours killing enemies mindlessly, i did the same thing with f.e.a.r but there the shooting was more fun and tactic, here it's just no...

5- here just some little things i didn't like
- secrets that activate by shooting the walls... ... i hope i don't have to explain, like i have many reason why i don't like this but you have a brain no? i hope you can predict them
- why the final boss is so weak? i beat the levels in 37 seconds... bfg is overrated too at this point, it takes the fun out the boss... i can choice to not use it? well that is in my personal playthrough, but the first time i play a game i don't do what i want, just what the game tell's me, so i can review actually the game... so they give me bfg, i use it
- im not sure if this is right, i may be wrong but the bfg is easy and it's normal to obain? like if someone go with a 0% secret playthough he finds it? because if not then it's a bad thing

here some things i like:
- graphics and art style, and art... shores of hell has great art, that is very very good, i liked shores of hell a lot in the artistic factor
- cyberdemon boss
- E1M8 when you defeat the two barons, and the walls go down, that is epic...
- and other things i don't stay here to say them, like keycards, secrets, and demons design...

what do you think?

well the problem is we got alot of threads like this even back when Doom was thrown up with dos box almost a decade ago till now of threads like this one and frankly the community is kinda sick of it at this point thats my two cents at any rate.

Also in reading the thread you did kinda start being rude back which ok I get, didnt really help your case in my opinion. but yeah Halo and Doom have very different communities so in the future, look for threads similar to what you want to start in a forum and read the communities reaction to it. might help. have a nice day.

ok, let's just say that this "overrated" threads are not fake, talks about real thoughts i have but are... "tests", to see if the community is good... community= game quality, so if the community is bad and toxic, game is really not so good... unless the community didn't comprehend it, like half life fans i think 3/4 or them didn't comprehend the game totally, so the community is strange... but i learnd that people here care more about the final opinion... to the reasons, because all this accuses of bait and things are a ridiculous amount... fact is that this thread is write with heart and things i write is what i think so it's automatically not bait... halo is a game not so fast is slow and make it use the brain, and the community was all kind and make long comments that help, doom is fast and quite brainless/relaxing and the commnunity were half unfriendly people that thinks are smart mature, but are people cold as ♥♥♥♥... so why do i keep talking, the situation talks for itself...

Half-Life is not "modern stuff" at all... The game is over two decades old.

Modern would be Overwatch 2 or any shooter released in the last 10 years.

Sorry but not everyone needs to take games seriously, I'd rather have skill for practical things in real life than in an entertainment.

i completed 100% the first two levels, so far is totally another thing compared to doom, i had fun, very fun in those two levels, and my god the puzzles on the second level are so cool, the puzzle to go up the stairs and the automap that reveal the secrets... and the level that gives you space to move and dodge bullets... it's totally another thing, it's doom but far better for now...

i played the first 5 levels of tnt evilution... yes, is very good, a bit better than doom...

i have gonna say that the only thing is that the more the levels progress the more they get long, obviosuly but... 20 minutes every level, 30 levels... itis exagerated, i stayed there like 1 hour and 20 to complete 5 levels... the first 3 levels were very good, 4 and 5 are a bit more like classic doom...

Unsub, then if another notification pops up don't click it and ignore it and don't comment anymore, if notifications continue to pop up then it's serious, but it's the second time I see someone in this situation, every time you comment you subscribe again, so don't do it...
